New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (12.07.12)
I am not about to defend those who act like pigs, Israeli or not. But in my travels, I have met all sorts of people, from Israel, various Europeans, etc. It was in Chile that I was totally disgusted with the brits who stayed at the same hotel as us and who were rude and disrespectful to all around them. The next year (also in Chile) we met a couple of girls from Switzerland who were noisy and generally acted like they owned the place with no regard for the others. And I recall a middle aged a*hole from Holland who verbally attacked and insulted me because of my "immorality" being an American. And we have also encountered a few Israelis - they were generally better behaved and friendlier than many from other countries. Singling out some of those who may have acted otherwise because they are Jewish and/or Israeli is anti-semitic.
33. They Behave Like Spoiled Brats In Israel
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (12.07.12)
Why should it be any different elsewhere? I have traveled the world and seen incidents like this firsthand. The behavior of many Israelis is an embarrassment to themselves and their country.
34. #5 Take it easy Brother
Jerome ,   AKL   (12.07.12)
They will hate Israelis /Jews if they are rich or if they are at the helm of a big corporation. This has been going on for 3000 years my friend. Shabbat Shalom from New Zealand

Adi ,   Ra'anana   (12.07.12)
You should relax on holiday not look for trouble. Per your comment, who knows who was singled out?! If they caused trouble like causing a near riot, that's trouble, get out of the park.
37. Dont generalize.....
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (12.07.12)
There are well behaved Israelis and those that are rude and crude....But, that can be said from nationals from every country. I know, I work at a major US Airport...and have seen the cream and the crap of all countries. Unfortunately, the crap usually leaves a longer lasting impression!
38. To # 8 Joseph Mengele
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (12.07.12)
So tell me Joe from Vienna....are you Austrian...or are you an escapee from some Arab Country occupying European Territory? If you're from Vienna, how did your Grandparents grow up? Were they Nazis?
39. Split the Pollack
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (12.07.12)

Lili   (12.07.12)
given me a headache for the rest of the week-end. This article deals with the behaviour of some israelis travelling the world. It's not a History class. Take a leave
43. Who cares?
Carl   (12.07.12)
Oh I get it. Part of ynets never ending campaign to make Israelis feel as bad as possible and paint Israelis in an unfavorable light
44. To Alexander
Bertram ,   London, UK   (12.07.12)
Calm down, lad. You will give yourself a coronary. You seem to be a very angry man just waiting for an opportunity to vent your spleen in your usual manner. May I remind you that this item was about the reported behaviour of some young Israelis in another country. It doesn't always have to be about Israel-Palestine. Either you can't help being provoked or you are just a windbag.
45. sadly its why no one wants israelis abroad THEY ARE ARROGANT

colin   (12.07.12)
These rubbish should be jailed and kicked out of Chile Let the Israeli government know that Israelis are not accepted in Chile
47. Let's Review This
(12.07.12)
Israelis are indeed blessed with 'Israeli Chutzpah', but I am inclined to think that, like the state of Israel itself, they are held up to undue scrutiny. If the rowdy tourists had originated from another country, they probably would have simply been considered 'rowdy tourists', and kicked out of the park. Because they come from Israel, it immediately becomes another black mark against them. Youngsters backpacking around the world tend to be wild, irrespective of their nationality. In fact, I am told by friends in the hospitality industry that many tourists when holidaying away from home, behave in ways that they would never behave at home.
48. just kids
zionist forever   (12.07.12)
"group took over a cottage which was intended to serve as a resting spot for the general public, blatant disregard to the instructions handed down and found in an area barred to tourists" just doing what we always have and will.
49. #44 Why so threatened by Alexander?
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.07.12)
He's knowledgeable, articulate and a defender of Israel. That obviously bothers you and seems to agitate you. No one appointed you teacher or talkback monitor.
50. #47
Sion   (12.07.12)
Maybe its because when an award, invention or prize is given to a Jew. It is not said Joe Soap got it but a Jewish youngster got the award etc.. So when something negative happens one should state the same that a Jewish youngster etc..
51. arrogance
rivka ,   london england   (12.07.12)
Their arrogance and sense of superiority is rooted in the racial self-worship of Talmudic Judaism and the notion that they are chosen, holy and better than the gentiles. This permeates Israeli consciousness even if they are not observant jews.
52. it's almost ...
Uri ,   Siberia   (12.07.12)
.. as if they didn't care about the others?! ... that's just so not like the Israelis, who are famed for their respect of others & laws. (yup being Ironic :) .. in fact post #51 is completely spot on ...)
53. the Perpetrator should have been jailed
RJBH ,   Methil   (12.07.12)
or worse... hes lucky to get out with his life.
54. #47 Chutzpah is NOT rudeness
muriel   (12.08.12)
the problem ist that most people think Chutzpah is the same as rudeness. Behaving loke a boor, insulting people, deliberately NOT obey laws in a foreign country has nothing whatsover to do with Israeli Chutzpah- it is just rude and ignorant behavior.
55. To Bo number 11
Ameridane ,   Aarhus, Denmark   (12.08.12)
Where I live, most Arabs smoke, and most Arabs don't put their cigarettes out, they just chuck them out from their car windows (together with other trash like McDonald cartons). The only reason that these cigarette buts don't catch fire it that it is so wet here. On the other hand, most Israelis are lousy tourists, loudmouthed, noisy and and brash.
56. The Don't Give a Damn Nation
Glen ,   Tel Aviv   (12.31.12)
This is the result of 60 years of bringing up children with no boundaries, certainly no manners or respect for others or for social niceties. They're actually proud of their rudeness, confident that they're untouchable. Overseas they shame the country with undisciplined, loud and rowdy behaviour and quite possibly the worst eating habits I've ever encountered. Many hotels wont accept Israeli groups, not because of anti Semitism but from really unpleasant experience. The worst aspect is that few Israelis have been taught the concept of accepting responsibility for their own actions. Sadly, we can expect no change in their social conduct any time soon.
