1. To me a confused US foreign policy
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (12.08.12)
I guess now that we believe they can't pull off an ICBM against the United States by 2015 we can wash our hands of the matter and call it a day. Smirk. And what's with letting them sell their oil to the countries in the article? I don't get this at all.
2. What if wrong?
michael ,   Israel   (12.08.12)
eWhat do they know? Do not count on it. If they are wrong who suffers?
3. There is "surprise"
sam ,   colorado-USA   (12.08.12)
the all indicators show us that Iran possesses technology long-range missiles,so why you are did cast doubt on this? There is something called surprises war, did not see a Ayub drone? how it penetrated how it penetrated the airspace despite the presence of Iron Dome and Magic Wand, should consider this subject seriously, because wars surprises is all the victories in any battle
4. US "intelligence" seems to be...
Robert ,   USA   (12.08.12)
adjusted to fit the political will of the executive, meaning the president and his circle. It may not be a conspiracy, just what "intelligence" gets pushed forward and what gets held back. It's pretty clear in hindsight that is what happened in Iraq with reports of their massive accumulation of WMD's which turned out to be false (though to be fair, Saddam Hussein wanted the West to believe he had them). Likely Iran will not have an ICBM soon, but that "intelligence" is what best fits what Obama wants to hear, so who knows?
5. I think they already have
Rachel   (12.08.12)
The administration seems to get wrong and misleading information. The same they got from Lybia before the american ambassador and additional americans got killed.
6. # 4
Birdi ,   Israel   (12.08.12)
Saddam Hussein's WMD are in Syria, we all know that.
7. #6 are your sure?
Robert ,   USA   (12.08.12)
I realize that saying all of Iraq's WMD.s went to Syria fits nicely into conspiracy theories, but is there any real evidence of that? Syria had one of the world's largest chemical/biological WMD programs in the world and were obviously trying to go nuclear with a reactor styled after the North Korean reactor, but is there real evidence that large amounts of WMD's from Iraq made their way to Syria? I'm not sure there is. (not trying to be argumentative in any way)
8. IT AINT ROCKET SCIENCE.

9. Thinking the USA is confused?

Then think again. Obama was raised in his youth as an Islamist in Indonesia. Deceit is a weapon rated number 1 by this violent sect since Mohamed who used it to slaughter a whole Jewish tribe in order to expropriate their wealth, wives and children. Lokk all around you and see what Obama and his state dept gang are doing to all Israel neighbours. I know Jews are a bit of thickies, but you cannot be blind to the Islamic encirclement!

I know there are lots of conspiracy theories but I don't think Bush lied like the anti war people claim because there are so many possibilities. Yes Syria is certainly a possibility. Maybe Saddam hoped Bush would not get his UN resolution authorising war could be avoided if he let weapons inspectors come in and found nothing. No WMDS no need for war. Its also possible that the whole thing was based on bad intelligence. Iraq under Saddam was a closed country where nobody really knew what was going on except Saddam himself. Before Desert Storm in 1991 Saddam defiantly had chemical weapons and a condition of the ceasefire was they would be destroyed. Saddam eventually expelled the UN people responsible for destroying them on the grounds they were spies so nobody really knew if they had all been destroyed or not. Whilst I don't think Bush lied about the WMDS I think once the momentum had began and war drums started beating he was determined he would get his war but I don't think he lied. As for Iran I think it very probably they will have ICBM capability by 2015. They have an advanced missile program already and they have been sending up soft toys into space and retrieving them supposedly part of their satellite program but more likely testing nosecone technology for ICBMS.
