For all his crimes Assad needs to be hung. Tho a new leadership in syria might not be any better...Just look at egypt, iraq, libya, tunisia...Is there a honest leader in the arab muslim world

Question is what about his family, will the opposition kill them as well ??????
6. HANG OR BE SHOT NO! He gets the GADAFY BROOM HANDLE treatmen
Adam Balm ,   AMERICA THE BEAUTIUL   (12.09.12)
he becomes a veritable social popsicle. a "plick on a stick" as it were. Gadafy style his purposeful, ordered destruction of 50,000 syrians tells it all. he goes to the Hague if they don't "handle" him first.
7. No, the family goes where all defeated, hung, butchered, ...
Adam Balm ,   AMERICA THE BEAUTIUL   (12.09.12)
No, the family goes where all defeated, hung, butchered, monsters go... AH, Paris! so lovely after those filthy wars and beggars' noises...take your stolen billions and GET OUT FAST!
8. no need to complain
israeli paratrooper   (12.09.12)
no need to complain . israel's enemies are wiping each other out . next stop will be a syrian probe into lebanon , this time by a sunni syrian army against shia lebanese forces . stay tuned
9. Assad The Butcher......
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (12.09.12)
I almost pity him and his henchmen....their death will be slow, painful, and humiliating.....Nothing to good for them!
10. I w0ould not count assad out
philippe   (12.09.12)
assad may use his wmd to offset the rebels and snuff the uprising. His tenacity has been underestimated. He has fought the jihadists to a draw thus far and inflicted many casualties. If he disconnected from the illegal entity of the ayatollahs and hezbollah, and respected israeli golan, he might have a free hand and more support. He could have chosen asylum but has not so far. Russia will not come out of t his good because they and iran have sustained the syrian machine.
11. we have been told the end is near for about 6 months now
zionist forever   (12.09.12)
We are constantly being told the end is near for Assad and rebels winning all these victories but the man manages to hold onto power like a leech. He still has plenty of tanks and jets even if some are being destroyed and he has other options available to him like siege tactics whereby he cuts off electric and water to rebel strongholds so there is still plenty he can do and is brutal enough to do so don't count Assad out just yet.
12. Hangman's noose is waiting

The consequences for Russia will be disastrous. They have been supporting Assad for so long mainly because he lets them keep their only naval base outside former Soviet territories which is essential for their ships in the Mediterranean. After all their unwavering support for Assad and providing him with the weapons he needs to prolong this conflict I think its safe to say Russia will be out of Tartus. Iran seems to be trying to paint a new image by telling Assad he must go because the ayatollahs know that if they can't be seen as a potential ally to a post Assad regime they will lose an ally. When Assad does go they will probably be the first to pledge money and rebuilding help try buy their way into favour with the new regime. Hezbollah are going to have to play real clever if they are going to stay in Syria because they have supported Assad. I am surprised he hasn't been doing more of the blame it all on Israel tactic try get the public behind him on his anti Israel stance which usually works.
