Islam are growing fast in Europe and getting stronger each year. Without any doubt in 25/35 years Islam will take over Europe without fight, or by Islamic sword, but by your own laws and democracy, one person one vote. Just pay attention from one year to the next and see the Islamic growing population in your city. I was in Jonjoping in early 1970. and I visited Gothenburg, Malmo, Stockholm, & other places, and very hardly to see an Islamic person, now b^%&D $%^&
5. It SHOULD have been on purpose, how could he sit so close to

the such trash?
6. Dudi has got it all wrong. It's not the shoes. It's...
Persian CAT   (12.09.12)
the crossing of legs which is a sign of disrespect. The shoe thing is not known in Iran. It is odd that people with minimal cultural literacy about various customs and cultures of the ME quickly attribute such nonsense to "Islam". The Iranian "media outlets" that "suggested" that were as clueless as Mr. Dudi' media outlet. Ahmadinejad was just signaling that he can treat the guy the same way he was treating him. Nothing more. Nothing less.
7. misunderstanding
xxx ,   izmir   (12.09.12)
It has nothing to do with Islam. It is a tradition just like with far east culture
8. Zero tolerance for other cultures !
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (12.09.12)
9. Whoever wrote this article is an idiot
Coptic Egyptian   (12.09.12)
The shoe status in Islam?!!! It has nothing to do with Islam. Its a cultural thing. In the Middle East in general, crossing legs is a sign of arrogance and lack of respect. I am a Egyptian Christian and this applies there too!
10. #6 LOL, you speak about disrespect?
Jake   (12.09.12)
And culture? Please. Don't make me laugh.
11. Shoe Showing
David ,   USA   (12.09.12)
He should've picked his nose and flicked his snot at Ahmadinejad.
12. Inside track?
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (12.09.12)
Perhaps he knew what he was doing? In any case, he should have dropped his trousers and presented his ass to Monkey Man. Ahmidenajad would have thought he was looking in a mirror.
13. To # 6
Rick ,   USA   (12.09.12)
Let me see...you people are constantly burning other people's flags, stepping on them, destroying their statues, burning their books, raping their women and you have the chutzpah to get insulted by the sole of a shoe. Straight jackets should be handed out by the loads in Muslim countries.
14. Russian men don't cross their legs
Hurdygurdy   (12.09.12)
It's considered effeminate there.
15. It's a sign to show u want to kick the guy's Ass and that's
Asher ,   NY,USA   (12.09.12)
why it looks insulting to them. Especially the side that Ahmadinejad is sitting is not that much defensible and however he wanted to retaliate, direction of his foot crossing was toward wrong direction. So he has lost the battle in shoe crossing and caused Iranian media to feel the big insult politically. Then I am wondering how he might think he can win a real battle with Israel?!!
16. questioning the holocaust is ok???
avner ,   tel aviv   (12.09.12)
but showing you the sole of a shoe is an offense?? this backward culture is a disease in our world. i wish and promise they will disappear!!!
17. Islam growing fast in Europe #4 - True but...
Markus Valiant ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (12.09.12)
We will change the course of this development. It will come rather soon, and we will be victorious.
18. Monkey see - Monkey do
ASTRONAUT ,   ME, USA   (12.09.12)
And if Mr. Teller had picked his nose, would Ahmadi have responded with a booger of his own? Are we talking about an ADULT person here? Or a 2-year old in diapers?!
19. He should have just kicked him in the face
Dan S.   (12.09.12)
That roach Achmedinejad could eat the soles of his shoes for lunch.
20. Threaten genocide, of course, is not offensive
SG ,   Teaneck   (12.09.12)
especially if you're talking about Jews. What can you expect from people that stick their butts up in the air to pray?
21. 17 Markus
alsky ,   toronto   (12.09.12)
i have heard that for the last few years. Im afraid Sweden is lost !
22. Shoe sole offensive?
Nel Sema ,   Spharad   (12.09.12)
Yes, is very offensive. Just as being occidental in Mindless Land. We also are allergic to sillies and to the very uncomfortable custom of firing missiles to us, as well as to have been exploded by a 'jihadist', and another oriental-arab-muslim customs. This kind of people need that: a great OFFENSIVE AGAINST THEM.
23. Nos. 6 and 9 You are right its crossing the legs
Iraj ,   Ahwaz, iran   (12.09.12)
which means arrogance and disrespect to your superior. How can you write this article and not know this? Dudi, with all due respect...go to school.
24. #9. 98 year old Egyptian Jew has never heard of this
EgyptianJewRefugee ,   Ex. Cairo, Egypt   (12.09.12)
#9. My 98 year old Egyptian Jewish aunt says she has never heard of this. She fled Egypt in 1958.
25. Oh heck! The Iranians should just ban shoes entirely.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (12.09.12)
26. Shoes
George Washington ,   Dc USA   (12.09.12)
When R. Reagan died it was a funeral service in National Cathedral. I noticed several Arab VIP sitting in the front row. They could be heads of states or ministers. Some of them were siting with cross legs showing soles. I suspect that they were showing americans total disrespect knowing that most people in USA are not aware about this custom and media would be silent.
27. shoes
Joe ,   Belgium   (12.09.12)
Understand, Mr. Mohammed never did show his shoes - because he had none.
28. #s 6,9,and23
DavidR ,   USA   (12.10.12)
As I sit here at my computer with my legs crossed reading your talkbacks and allowing my thoughts to dwell on my deep and strong feelings for the 3 of you, I only wish I could express those feelings in my remarks, however, Y-Net would not print it. They probably will not release this.
29. Crossing his legs was not retaliation on the Iranian
Rivkah   (12.10.12)
leader's part since the sole of his shoe was aimed away from the Swedish emissary while the sole of the Swede was directed toward Ahmadinijad. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they say. But to insult the Swede by showing the sole of his shoe to him would be retaliation which he did not do. When Ahmadinijad wants to insult someone he does it with his words, not his shoes.
30. should have put his shoe in a'jad's face
