Harold ,   USA   (12.10.12)
Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize and did nothing to solve the Middle East problems but European Union will do its best after received, today, the Nobel Peace Prize. I just want to know what happens to Israel when 27 most richest European Contries stop dealing with Israel from all angles.
32.  Israel deeply dismayed by EU.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (12.10.12)
33. Dismay how Europe is moral corrupt!
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.10.12)
Moral bankupted Europe is reflected in their economy because more they press Israel more is going down hill. Europe has in face the evidence: Israel wants a dignified peace, the fact that Arabs are not capable to make peace can be observed by hate and cruelity which they are deliver to their own people. Israel has the duty to take all the precoation and to assure security and growth. Europe has no moral wright to endanger Israel again as has been done in the past.
34. O.K.,Europe..we're even!
zelig ,   memphis   (12.10.12)
Europe is "dismayed" at Jews living as free men and women in a free nation. It wan't dismayed by the crusades. It wan't dismayed by the banishment of Jews from England, nor by the Inquisitions of Spain or Portugal. And of course,it wan't "dismayed" by the Shoah or the Pogroms. You see, Europe,we too have something to be "dismayed" about. .
35. EUROPEAN DISMAY
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (12.10.12)
Europeans have a long standing dismay with living Jews. They do however love to have museums off them after they all have vanished. Sadly many Israelis are totally unaware of an old sickness of the soul from which many Europeans have suffered almost 2000 years, so don't expect any healing soon.
36. what kind of war are we fighting?
joe ,   israel   (12.10.12)
looks like we're alone again, one more time assuming that decency, logic, history, facts, documents, agreements and common sense should be the basis for any discussion. we're alone on this side of the trench and the sooner we understand that this war will not be won only through the truth, the greater the chance to get out of it with some kind of victory. it's time to show the world why we are here for thousands of years; we need to use our "cultural intelligence" to find the type of weapon that will give us the victory. we have to move our ass, this scenario will not lighten alone.
37. We don't need the EU, we have plenty of other friends...
esse ,   --   (12.10.12)
...such as...eh...wait...there's has to be at least one...how about...the US? Oh wait, I forgot. Obama doesn't like us either. And don't forget: it's not our fault that we're so disliked. It has nothing to do with our unique combination of arrogance and ignorance. Nor with our leaders who hold others in contempt. Nor does it have to do with the many racist Israelis who troll the Internet and post with glee about killing Palestinians. And certainly it has nothing to do with the fact that all we ever do is blame the Palestinians for not bowing to our wishes. Yup. Not our fault at all.

42. EU/UN dismayed
yigal ,   north   (12.11.12)
30,000+ dead In Syria and the EU Is bothered with a new kindergarten In Ma'ale Adomim. They;ll take action against Israel but to hell with the Syrians. No wonder Israelis are cynical towards the EU.

Oy Vey! The whole world hates us. Anti-Semites ALL! A pariah state.
44. One state for two people the only real democracy

Following Israeli figures, 177 stateless Arabs have been killed in Gaza during the eight days of Operation "Pillar of Defence". During the exactly same eight days in Syria about 1070 people have been killed. No intl. outcry! Nobody dismayed! They just don't care because any engagement on this issue wouldn't harm Israel and Jews.
47. To all:
Hansje   (12.11.12)
I live in Europe and nobody talks about E1. It was only mentionned once when Bibi anounced the plan. Please folks,Ynet and other papers, stop enless talks about Europeans are going to threaten Israel with sanctions.
48. Europe
Derek Roma ,   Belgium   (12.11.12)
Europe remember Szrebrenika? You want to ever defend Israel in the same way??? In Africa you also have experience defending Hotels. Not to mention your soccer stadiums. Lets face it, we dont have the guts to fight to death defending others.
49. Dismayed?
Madeleine ,   Israel   (12.11.12)
Oh dear, the EU is dismayed that we are building homes for our citizens? Well, Jews were dismayed when Europe, as well as the UK and the US, stood by while Jews were led to the gas chambers. Jews were dismayed when Churchill refused to bomb the death camps because that would reveal the fact that the Brits had sources of information about German moves, and Jews were dismayed yet again when Britain refused entry into Palestine for thousands of Holocaust survivors, returning many of them to concentration camps in Cyprus or imprisoning them in Atlit. So I think the EU will just have to cope with being dismayed.
50. #16 Michael
Madeleine ,   Israel   (12.11.12)
We are fighting for our existence here in Israel. We do NOT need to negotiate our rights to build! How dare you sit in judgment, there in your comfortable Californian home. What the hell do you know about fighting for anything? America has never had to fight a war on its own territory to protect its people. Theonly wars you have fought are other people's wars thousands of miles from your shores, while American citizens have never been threatened by war, let alone exterminatin (Hamas' declared aim). You have no moral right to sit in judgment on anything to do with what goes on in our sovereign land.
51. Poor europeans.
Jusanz77 ,   Vzla   (12.11.12)
Poor Europeans pending a settlement in Israel. Meanwhile in Europe have millions of settlers who have made some of Europe's regions and cities in the South African representation aparteidh life. Homosexuals have fled their neighborhoods. European laws do not apply. European eating habits must change to please the new settlers. Keep it up, you will soon be praying to Mecca five times. Miss Aston seems that not only has physical limitations, but intellectual.
52. EU is Morally Bankrupt.
RT   (12.11.12)
EU is already finacially bankrupt. Now they are declaring it is morally bankrupt. Why can Jew build houses on their own land?
53. This is too much!
DavidN ,   USA   (12.11.12)
It is time to tell the morally bankrupt EU and the rest of the world once and for all that Israel is only tiny in land mass. Israel is a nuclear power in the world on par with the larger nuclear nations and is a force to be reckoned with! SO. The EU, UN, and Obama, and the Arab and amalgam hoards can get over it or feel the wrath!
54. EU hates Jews building things!!
Terry ,   Sydney, Australia   (12.11.12)
The rockets may fly, thousands may die in the arab autumn, islamofascists may threaten ever greater attacks on freedom, and whole countries in the eurozone are going bankrupt. So what else would excite the average government in the fount of racist antisemitism, but the thought of Jews building apartments in their capital city, for Jews to live in? Oh yes, it's bad for the peace process!! hamas and iran threatening Shoah Mark 2 aren't a threat to the peace process, but two bed flats with an ensuite bathroom - they're about to blow the place apart!! If only the eu leaders could step back and SEE how stupid they look!
55. Stew in it!
David ,   Israel   (12.11.12)
They weren't "dismayed" when they collectively contributed to the destruction of the Oslo Accords. Neither was Great Britain ever "dismayed" when it abrogated its duties under granted by it to the League of Nation under the Oslo Accords and unilaterally gave away huge tracts of the Jewish homeland to secure Saudi oil in concert with their French friends. To use a British term, "they can stew in their own juices"... and..I'll throw in my British passport to flavour the stew.
56. Today is EU, tomorrow USA.
Ben ,   Planet Earth   (12.11.12)
57. Since oslo was guaranteed by EU.....
trump ,   eurabia   (12.11.12)
and EU voted for a resolution cancelling out oslo, further discussion is closed .
58. settlement never constituted an obstacle to peace
Greg   (12.11.12)
In that case the Indians of America should build where they want, the Zulu in Africa, the aborigenes in Australia etc.. Get the point!!
59. we are deeply dismayed with EU for they are Erroneous Unjust
mary_of_bethany ,   singapore   (12.11.12)
E: Erroneous, U: Unjust Erroneous because they make wrong judgement believing in lies that pals spread, instead of sending witness to find out the truth, Unjust because even if they finally know the truth, they are too coward to stand up against the arab nations,, willing to sacrifice the Israelis by all means for a short fake peace. so we are dismayed with EU for agreeing to grand the stupid non-member state without even insist that Abbas fatah kick out hamas first, even Abbas should first make hamas denounce terror first.
60. Boycott the EU
Dave ,   Melbourne Australia   (12.11.12)
Whilst I am generally against boycotting due to its effects on innocent people, one way to make the EU feel it is for the rest of the world to boycott the EU. Although it cannot practically be done across the board it can be done at the basic level. For example, in Melbourne supermarkets and shops stock loads of produce from Israel. I am making it my business to by these products and nothing from Europe. Imagine if this was done in the US, Canada, South America, Oceania, and a few other spots in the world who do not bow to islamofacism. Perhaps I am dreaming because the egos of EU members would get in the way of any human side they may have. For my part, I live freely and can make a choice, so I have.
