1. Maybe Livni should move to Europe and join BDS movement?
vit ,   usa   (12.12.12)
2. olmert twin and dumbell
alexius   (12.12.12)
europeans did jews a lot of good during the holocaust right!??? Livni like olmert ran around with cup in hand begging obama and ashton for consideration while hamas gained power and demanded more and more. Liberman is caliling a spade a spade and enought of this bullcrap which has gone on long enough. How israelis are so dumb after all the troubles must be that they are so petrifiied that they run to the europeans who privately hate the bloody jews like frenchman say in private moments. Livni is pathetic, just pathetic and sharon wa scorrupt to allow she and olmert any signfiicant positions.
3. Livni is crazy. What Liberman said is true
(12.12.12)
Today the antisemitism in Europe is in the levels the antisemitis was in Europe arround 1935, maybe more. Many persons sae the rise of nazism as something trivial specially the english, whn theynthought that giving free pasage to Hitler in Checoslovaquia, Europe will be free of war. Today the scandinavian countries are very antiisrael,England and France have double standard politics because of their high rate of muslim population. And in general what was pro Israeli in the end of the 40's today is against. Nobody cares what Jerusalem represents for the Jews. To close the eyes over the ctual situation is stupid. Israel has offer talks with out preconditions. Pals are puting all the conditions not aceptable for Israel. LIvni has the Idea to make peace at any cost , and peace has a cost.
4. Livni is an ignorant fool!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (12.12.12)
She has become irrelevant, as have all her leftist friends! She needs to quietly disappear, and accept the simple fact she was a complete failure as a politician! She'd probably be better at knitting; sounds about her speed; but, even then...who knows?!
5. It Is Livni Who Trivializes Shoa
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (12.12.12)
B"H - Never Again Is Now!
6. Maybe not everyone in the EU hates Jews.....
David ,   Israel   (12.12.12)
but I haven't met him yet! As for #1 vit, well, BDS doesn't need her. There are enough Americans supporting this already and no one adds fuel their fire of hatred against Israel like Netanyahu and Lieberman! Those two doesn't realize that its good to be right but better to be wise! They tell the Arabs to get over their hatred of Jews but they won't realize that just as the Jews and Zionists are here to stay so are the Arabs! Our "war" in Israel is not one of left v right. It is a war of hatred and at the moment the Jew hating Jew war is winning! That is going to destroy our country and not the Arabs!
7. A foreign minister like Lieberman
Bob ,   London   (12.12.12)
Chose to have a foreign minister like Lieberman and then wonder why foreign anti Israel sentiment is at a historic high?!? Come on now, open your eyes! Lieberman and diplomacy repel one another. He has caused untold damage to Israel's image abroad and then wants to use tax payers money to launch advertising campaigns to straighten the record!?! I think he should pay for it himself since he is largely responsible for the current situation. Either that or deport the man for crimes against the state of Israel. And for the record, I am Jewish, Israeli and not a left wing looney before accusations start being flung in my direction.
8. Livni accuses Lieberman of trivializing Holocaust
Joop ,   Israel   (12.12.12)
This time she is right. Politicians in Israel like to use the Holocaust to create fear. Only people who experienced the Holocaust know what it means, and know that it can not be compared with anything what is happening today.
9. generation gap
ky   (12.12.12)
for those born up to 1955 the Holocaust had a serious traumatic effect. For those born after that date the impact was not so great. My own childhood was dominated by what happened to Jews. You could not avoid it, even though Parents didn't want to talk about it. there was always the awareness of being vulnerable but not wanting to be another victim. For the generations that came afterwards this feeling was not so strong and it has been decreasing ever since. The later generation of Jews cannot feel the same suspicion of Europe.
10. No. Ms. Livni. Mr. Lieberman appears to be a student of...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.12.12)
...history while your views are grounded in your wishful thinking and hopes. Sadly, that which have befallen us for hundreds of years can be repeated unless we stand alert and strong enough to repel such developments.
11. Lieberman 100% Right & Europe is doing it again.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (12.12.12)
The corruption of the Balfour and the White Paper caused the holocaust. This time Israel is facing a double whammy: Europe & the Islamists keep demanding serial 2-states in the same tiny land, which was alloted in the Balfour for 'one only Jewish state'. Livni better study Rock Science.
12. Trivializing the Holocaust that from a country that denies
ben   (12.12.12)
the Armenian Genocide. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
13. If Livni says it's December now: don't believe her!
tom ,   tel aviv   (12.12.12)
14. Bob #4
Marvyn ,   UK   (12.12.12)
Bob, Israel has a democratically elected government just like the United Kingdom. So Mr Lieberman is part of a democratically elected govermnent. Unfortunately there is a lot of antisemitism or racism in the world which has nothing to do which foreign minister Israel has. You can see this racism with the recent troubles with Gaza. This was front page news in the newspapers, on televison and radio. But the murder of tens of thousands in Syria was mainly ignored. Why is this? Because of world racism against Israel. Always has been like this and always will be like this. Nothing to do with what foreign minister or any other democratically elected minister Israel has.
15. Livni
Mameshgevaltig ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.12.12)
Ms Livni, Don't you think it's time that you and yours pulled together as a sign of unity. We need all the support we can get and asinine comments from you every day don't help the situation
16. #7
Madeleine ,   Israel   (12.12.12)
Lieberman tells it like it is and h e's not afraid to do so. We are sick of you sanctimonious europeans - and the British well at the forefront - telling us how we should run our country.I don't care if you'e Jewish or not - in fact I have Christian friends in Britain who are more pro-Israel than you seem to be. As it is, Britain did plenty of harm here when she had the Mandate for Palestine, meddling as usual. Britain created Jordan (then known as Trans-Jordan) out of the whole of Eastern Palestine, i.e from the jordan river eastwards, as a homeland for the Palestinina Arabs and that is where every last one of them shold be livig right now. The have no more right to even one inch of Jerusalem as they do to London!
17. our great Lieberman !!!
jack ,   NETANYA ISRAEL   (12.12.12)
That guy is our Foreign Minister ,a diplomat he is certainly not,he should move back to Russia ,I am sure his great friend Putin would find him a good job. maybe in a Gulag.
18. Subject: Livni. Trivia....
Gideon Reader   (12.12.12)
...jusr seems to go together so well.
19. Who is trivializing?
New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (12.12.12)
No, it's Lieberman who takes the possibility of a new Holocaust with the seriousness it deserves. He appears to have learned something from history. The world of today is still inhabited by human beings, the same human beings who had facilitated and perpetrated the holocaust 70 years ago. And they will do it again should the opportunity arise. It increasingly looks like many of them smell such an opportunity is close at hand. One should not believe the politicians when they assure you of their support. Their guarantees are worthless: it proved true in 1938 with Czechoslovakia and throughout WWII, as well indeed as just a few days ago when the same world leaders who solemnly assured Israel of their support for a negotiated process, showed with their UN vote their treacherous dishonorable nature. Lieberman is correct in stating things in a blunt way. He understands who he is dealing with. As for Livni, the only thing that she appears to take seriously is her own ego and lust for power. She does not know the first thing about the Holocaust and how and why it came about.
20. Thank god for President Romney!
Avramele   (12.12.12)
Just thought I'd remind my right wing talkback friends not to get too comfortable in your pseudo-macho bubble. A strong Israel must have a strong IDF, an effective intelligience corps, a smart diplomatic strategy and a government that knows how and when to push the right buttons. Bibi and his bouncer have shown no ability in any of these arenas despite the backup of talented careerists in all three areas.
21. Trivializing?
Arie ,   Sderot   (12.12.12)
Livni continues her true colors floating in the wind to see where she can garnish support and money. The FACT is that the Europeans would just as soon turn Israel into the next Czechoslovakia and Poland. Look at the government credos in the Scandinavian countries, Spain, Portugal, and Ireland. Old habits die hard - and the Europeans are still more apt to seek "peace in their time" as Chamberlain put it - and the Jews are again the targets. Livni should move to a state where she would be more at home - Like Turkey or Iraq
22. She is absolutely right.
nibor ,   israel   (12.12.12)
We can't use the Holocaust card everytime we get criticized, and sometimes the criticism is legitimate. Besides "Oi'vaVoi" to the country that feels it is above criticsm. (Also, there are Holocaust survivors that are absolutely horrified by Lieberman).
23. LIVNI: I have a Hanukah present for you.
Israeli 2   (12.12.12)
But first you must promise NOT be a coward. You were persona non grata in many anti Jewish/Israel countries. That is not bad at all. That is good. You still are and will always be persona non grata in those countries. That's great. Do not appease them. That is bad. Do not be afraid, you don't need them. You need Israel. You are now shaming Israel by showing them how sorry you are for being Jewish and apologizing on our behalve. Speak for yourself. And now for the Hanukah present. You may come and visit Los Angeles, CA. Madonna will be waiting for you at the Kabbalah Center.
24. Night-club bouncers....
