Requiring participatingg in religious studies would have been a kav adom, any religion, especially the most primitive one. Requiring to wear a kipa is equal to forcing people to shave their beards, both abhorrent.

35. #34, Reading too fast? "Requiring" and "forcing" are "equal"
Michael ,   California, USA   (12.17.12)
Read my comment again and ask an English speaking rebetzn whether requiring and forcing correspond. I will also bet you'll need to ask what a lesbian and a fish market have to each other. Should I spare you asking questions about gays?
36. Kippahs by cohercio

It is funny that a lawyer writes such an article. In the Bar Ilan University there are written regulations and if you do not like these regulations then you are simply free to go somewhere else. There is no coercion. There is simply ignorance on behalf of the student who should have read the rules before. A lawyer should better than anyone. If I go travel over the speed limit some cops may look over it but if a cop fines me I certainly cannot complain. There are what we call laws. I think that Mr. Pinchas is making a case out of nothing.
