You have hit the nail on the head. Israel has tried very hard to put an end to the obscene Arab cultural necessity of honor killings. Each and every time, however, the Arabs start howling about Israel interfering with their culture. Not that I find murdering one's own child, sister or aunt particularly cultural .... but the sad fact is that honor killings are commonplace in Arab and Moslem societies. Then again, so is female circumcision.
Arabs and Moslems don't seem to think particularly highly of women. Frankly, I'd rather be a stray dog than a woman in Arab or Moslem society. I'd get far more respect.
