2. Well,well,well,...
split ,   US   (12.18.12)
After all this hoopla about this so called Israeli cutting edge technology achievements we learn that 'iron dome' is made by US company employing Israeli workers - I'm shocked ;) ,... There's only one reason why would they do that; This project is a lemon to start with, they don't make or expect to make any money down the road,...
3. Lets get the facts right...

Senmina is only one of many suppliers in the Iron Dome project, and supply contractors can be changed from time to time, with out affecting Iron Dome productions...
4. Israeli arrogance ,...
split ,   US   (12.18.12)
Not the first US company that moved it's subsidiary to Israel and goes belly up - A machine producing parts for iron dome belongs to Americans Mr. Mansur you can buy it if they want and can sell it or get lost if they don't,...

Malone ,   Hfx   (12.19.12)
Anyway,as I was trying to say..when Israelis hold protest signs up,they're all in Hebrew...when arabs hold up protest signs, they're all in the world can read the arabs are addressing the naive intl. community and Israel is addressing their own concerns, not begging for help..
9. Iron Dome Supplier
chuckmeister ,   Chicago, IL USA   (12.19.12)
Thank you very very much for a real well balanced story. I especially liked the part of the opposing opinion and the government statement. I liked also all the facts, all the issues being negotiated and the specified positions of all the parties involved. I can see Fair and Balance has no place in labor relations nationwide. Really Great Journalism at work here folks. Amen
10. T0 #4 and #2 "split"
Boris ,   USA   (12.19.12)
It is American company that did not want to stay in Israel. Technology was always Israeli. There will be another Israeli company that will make this part. Also from the number of workforce parts for Iron dome was only small part of what they did. And if you want to feel better. Heavy machines at the factory were probably American or German or Chinese since Israel never produced heavy machinery. You can not do everything.
11. To SPLIT,
Armand ,   Los Angeles, USA   (12.19.12)
Hey Split,...splinted soul and splinted spirit..... Before you continue your heinous posts,...we all the readers of the Ynews talk-backs have a clear opinion of your anti-Semitic CRAP. So once for all put this deep in your soul and your low IQ mind.... That even Hitler and many more before him could not change reality and that is that we JEWS will always PREVAIL in all fields of LIFE, agriculture, high tech, health, industry and all thinks that require INTELLIGENCE,.....something you are deficient off OH POOR SPLINT! In fact Splint here in USA we wish we were as effective as ISRAEL is.... As far as USA - Israel exchange is concerned USA is a clear winner for very CHEAP!
12. Ahh... for a moment yahoo was out of excuses...
Miron ,   USA   (12.19.12)
Why is degenerate who denies Israel Iron Dome is anywhere near PM office?
13. Warning about Split #2
Steven ,   Rockville MD USA   (12.19.12)
Split is a brainless (low intelligence, minimal I.Q.) masochistic, paid neo-Nazi provocateur, whose sole aim is to go under the skin of the readers and responders. Let him to bark his head off, but do not answer and do not respond to his trash talk. He is a hopeless psychiatric case.
14. 10 - Technology was always Israeli.
split ,   US   (12.19.12)
Yeah right, how would you know because your government told you so? Pal I know quite few people in this industry and happen to know where this sucking sound coming from - By the way it's an electronic factory and no heavy machinery involved but there may be some restricted equipment that needs to be approved by US government prior sale or transfer,...
15. # 11 and # 13
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (12.19.12)
Don't get your knickers in a twist you two. You really are getting into a big panic about this Split guy aren't you? What's the matter? Can't take a bit of criticism eh? Of course the standard response from types like you two is to jump on the antisemitic bandwagon isn't it? How completely pathetic you are.
16. Bigger issue
Get Real ,   UK   (12.19.12)
Pity about the workforce's uncertain future. But the bigger issue here is that Israel's defence needs will not be impaired and that there will be an adequate Iron Dome defence system in place. Following its success against the Hamas reign of missle terror attacks both the USA and Israel have, and will, gain militarily and commercially from the interest being shown by other countries in acquiring the iron dome including its Israeli developed hi-tec operating systems. Posts #2 & #10 sound like sour grapes maybe because Iron Dome was such a success.
17. Mike (Musa?) Carmel (Karim?) #15.
Steven ,   Rockville MD USA   (12.19.12)
You either do not comprehend what you are reading, or your memory is very very short. Just read Split’s talkbacks, and you have a “first rate” anti-Semite. The real Mike Carmel please stand up!

If an Israeli chef creates a new type of salad and one of the ingredients is a special kind of cucumber in that salad and that cucumber is only grown in the US. Who is the creator of that salad the Israeli chef or the people in America who grew that cucumber? Rafael I am sure used some fancy electronic circuit boards and heavy machinery made in America but they designed it not the American companies who supplied some of the parts. All missile defense systems be it Arrow, Patriot or Iron Dome operate on the same basic concept of detect and destroy but all have different purposes and are different in their own way same with Iron Dome. The Merkava uses an American engine and a few other American made parts and of course like American tanks it is basically a big gun on wheels. Who are the inventors of the Merkava though, IMI or the American company that designed the engine? Face facts Israel doesn't invent everything and neither does the US and sometimes we need to buy parts from each other but that doesn't mean the people who supplied the parts designed it because like with the salad in all things you need all the ingredients to make it work and its not about where those ingredients come from.
19. #11 Armand
You just demonstrated your lack of intelligence with this gem: "all thinks that require INTELLIGENCE,..: The word is THING, as in "all things...". Now go back to school like a good boy.
