1. AMNON
ARNO ,   REHOVOT   (12.20.12)
GREAT LOSS. HOPE OTHERS WILL SEE AND FOLLOW THE SAME PATH,THAT WILL AT LEAST WITH PART OF THE ISRAELI PEOPLE GIVE A FEELING THAT THERE IS STILL HOPE LEFT.
2. What I remember.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (12.20.12)
During the time Rabin, Shahak and Indyck were making peace, all I remember was terrorism, murder, death and destruction. I do not remember any peace. It is beyond me how Lipkin-Shahak could sit down with a murdering terrorist with blood on his hands and discuss peace. The reality of Oslo was a reckless, poorly thought out adventure that resulted in the deaths of many Jews, particularly children
3. Indyk has zero credibility.
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.20.12)
Indky played a starring role in the Oslo disaster which resulted in thousands of maimed and murdered Israelis. He has zero credibility.
4. Through ups and downs, he never gave up on peace.
Michael ,   California, USA   (12.20.12)
That's the only way there is, the only way there could be. "Blessed are the peacemakers" is not a slogan, it's the only leadership that can save Israel from destruction. Talking tough are adrenaline and testosterone shots, instant fixes, intoxicating to the weak and supporting hopelessness. Like Itzhak Rabin, General Lipkin-Shahak set the tone that breeds hope, the hope that Mr. Indyk recognizes. This hope of peace and Lipkin-Shahak's spirit must prevail.
5. The only hope for peace is a STRONG..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (12.20.12)
and a UNITED Israel, with G-Ds help. The rest is wishful thinking.
6. peace or piece
Leah G ,   Itamar Israel   (12.20.12)
it is perplexing that this so called "peace" is still being presented as something good for Israel. The rollercoaster process that wrecked the lives of over 1,800 Israelis killed by the guns handed over to Fatah terrorists is still rushing out of control. This was not and is not a peace process. Will it take some more Fajars to bring this to a halt?
7. Want to compete with his cerdibility, lemeh?
Michael ,   California, USA   (12.20.12)
You can Google for Ambassador Indyk. Here's one reference from among many: article:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Indyk You are growing bigger for yourself while your britches are shrinking. By the way, in which IDF unit did you serve?
8. Indyk can't see that palestinians don't want peace.
Bob k ,   orlando usa   (12.21.12)
Indyk hopes for peace but he is inrealistic. He cannot face the truth of the 2005 Gaza withdrawal. Israel handed Gaza to the PA unconditionally and the PA could not control even Gaza. Indyk, like the overwhelming majority of those who urge Israel to make more concessions for peace while downplaying or ignoring the thousands of rockets fired into Israeli cities, has no solution to the rocket attacks. With hamas in control of Gaza no more land can be transferred to the PA. Let the PA take control of Gaza and stop the rockets first. Then negotiations can continue. hamas and other terrorists reject any Israel deal with Israel. The PA rejected 96% of the 'west bank' and E.Jerusal;em in 2000. From 2006-2008 the PA rejected even more land plus east Jerusalem - they made no repsonse and then refused to negotiate with Netanyahu the past 4 years, preferring to go to the UN and count on even more pressure on Israel. In the end though, Israel has control of the territory and the PA cannot get it without Israel's agreement.
9. #7. What credibility? Indyk failed absolutely.
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.22.12)
What credibility do you imagine Indyk has? His involvement in Oslo and similar initiatives were absolute failures. Nor are his intentions good. Unless you feel trimming Israel's waist to a suicidal 9 miles (15 minute tank ride) and rendering Israel absolutely helpless is well intentioned!!!!
10. Another failes diplomat
Abou Fayez ,   Brussels   (12.23.12)
I don’t want to talk about Amnon, but about Indyke. Who is this failed, Israel lover, American politician? Like Denis Ross, he showed time and again his love to Israel whatever Israel does. I don’t understand successive American administrations, dealing with the Palestinian-Israeli issues still nominate Zionist diplomats, well known with their very biased ideas, to represent the American interests. Indyke was American ambassador to Israel during and after the signing of the Oslo accords. He, like Ross, wants the parties to ‘negotiate’. Forever. Like Shamir. They know very well that Israel is not concerned – and not disturbed- by the lack of peace. It can go on like this for another fifty generations. But, undisturbed, Ross and Indyke, want the negotiations to go on, as if this was the objective. It is sad that both of them are still considered ‘experienced’ American diplomats. They are, simply, Jewish, Zionist American opportunists who are ‘still around’.
