Since oslo successive governments on both the right and left have turned a blind eye to the fact the PA was using millions of dollars worth of electricity and not paying for it. Nobody wants to pick a fight with the PA over a minor issue like unpaid electric bills ... not good for the peace process. The only reason Bibi is collecting money now is because he wants to punish Abbas for going to the UN not because he thought it was time the PA started paying their bills. If over the past 20 years governments had been demanding the PA pay their bills rather than turning a blind eye in the name of peace maybe Israel Electric wouldn't have so many financial problems and we would not be facing price hikes now. Time to start telling the palestinians you pay your way like everybody else or you can't have.

Chaim ,   Arad   (12.24.12)
Is for all of Israel to ban together and NOT pay their electric bill until rates drop. I know it is impossible to get all the people to co-operate, but if we could get at least 1-2 million through out Israel, that would be enough to to break the back of greed. Do you think they would shut off a million people? If this is done, they would probably have to charge Gaza.
