31. Yadlin is wrong! The word is "lost"!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (12.25.12)
However, the world doesn't need an excuse to hate Jews. The Palestinian "Question" is merely an excuse to further hatred against the Jewish people which is inbred in the peoples of Europe and South America and is "infecting" other countries like Australia and New Zealand (which went onto the "hate Israel kick" after Cast Lead). Does anyone realy think that Joe Blogs wherever he may live cares about the Palestinians? Why some may ask? "The answer is because its easy to hate Jews. We've done it for centuries so why stop now?" Of course both our right wingers and their leftist counterparts give them more hate ammunition than they can use!
32. Destiny
abe4u ,   Israel   (12.25.12)
Where do all these so called ex spurts get these twisted ideas ? Why the self flagellation all the time? Its about time that we have a leader who leads , and not one who constantly succumbs to world opinions and wishes, after all they are always anti Israel. Before we criticize ourselves , look around us and see whats happening in our close neighborhood, Syria,Lebanon, Egypt. Wake up Israel.
33. Arab “peace initiative” - doesn’t anyone read anymore?!
solomon ,   bklyn   (12.25.12)
Saudi Arabia admitted that their “peace initiative” could only be a suggestion to arab countries; and that only after the arab countries get everything they want from Israel, each arab country would have to decide for itself whether to make peace with Israel or not. Again: only AFTER the arab countries get everything they want from Israel, Doesn’t anyone read anymore?!
34. The Great Powers need to step in and impose peace + security
Michael ,   California, USA   (12.25.12)
Yadlin has the right ideas but Israelis are stuck in the current situation. They are saying clearly that land is preferable to peace. Palestinians are stuck in demanding return rights and want the occupied territories back. The two states solution must move forward and only the Great Powers can make it happen. Let's see it happen in 2013. Thirty years later there will be new leaders on both sides who will know no war between them, so all the borders will be made a minor formality.
35. The Israeli electorate
Michael ,   Haifa   (12.25.12)
...will only understand the stupidity of their clear support for radical right wing policies, when global economic sanctions will hit them in their pockets.
36. Yadlin is 100% wrong.
Reuven   (12.25.12)
37. Here what history recommend abut international support:
Moshe ,   Usa   (12.25.12)
Prior to the 2nd dispersion, and after Israel, under Bar Cochba, kicked the roman italians out of Israel by defeating their deuteronian leagion (until the italian combatants groaned & were sent back on the ships they came in on) there were 2 or more claimants contesting to be king of Israel. One of the claimants sent a messenger to inquire of the italian caesar & his court as to which one of them should be king. As a result, the italians realized that Israel was shattered & weak. caesar sent armies by ship, some to northern Israel & some to southern Israel. They defeated Israel by marching through the "spine" (center) & butchering our ancestors. Remember Masada? Who cares what foreign nation think of us . . . this is the lesson we learned then. They are self-centered & zenophobic. They will never approve/like/care for us. Do what is right for us. Do it now!
38. Yadlin lacks imagination
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Zion, Zion   (12.25.12)
yadlin lacks vision as well as moral courage. yadlin should keep in mind that david ben gurion and the haganah faced the combined arab armies with second hand arms and defeated them. 6,000 israelis lost their lives, but israel won. we do not need defeatist nonsense from former army people. the arabs are a curse upon civilisation, with their constant attempt to blackmail and export terror worldwide.
39. #22 Avramele
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.25.12)
For the first time, I agree with you 100%. Sadly, neither Hamas nor Fatah not the professional Leftists will agree to what you say. Only way forward to peace, IMHO, is to destroy Fatah and then negotiate with the real leaders. That was Shamir's plan by the way.
40. Bar kochba #37 - you gotta be kidding!??
Avramele   (12.25.12)
The ill advised bar Kosiba revolt led to over a million Jews killed and further exile - Is this the model of messianic Judaism we wish to emulate? Massada: wow - mass suicide and some movie rights and a tourist attraction. Zionism is our desire to enter history as realists and humanists not a crazed bunch of delussional fundamentalists. Gevalt!
41. to 35
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (12.25.12)
The only way to prove Israeli electorate stupid, is for you to go with Yadlin and take the initiative of trying to put your actions, where your"mouth" is..Yadling should request a meeting with Abas and Mashal (head of chamas) and you will be his assistant...This would be the only way, you can prove the stupidity of the Israeli electorate... They (Palis) don't want to talk to Bibi, but maybe with Yadlin and you, they will, if you beg and drool loud enough...
42. Effective international support..
Yehuda ,   Southerner   (12.25.12)
Examples: Sudan Ruwanda Bangladesh Cambodia Biafra Hungary 1956 Stop letting the world dictate our actons.
43. yadlin good pilot but lousy judgement
mofti   (12.25.12)
yadlin along with baidetz both favoured returning golan to assad. Tells you how faulty their judgement was. Can you see israel fighting with abbas over the temple mount. What a stupid proposal yadlin offers. After the holocaust, an isreaeli stands up and says lets share security arrrangments with the arabs and let us not control our own. What a dumbbell and idiot!
44. It's not the occupation, it's the settlers
Dan   (12.25.12)
The West Bank must remain militarily occupied until the Palestinians make a credible agreement. But the settlers must be removed or abandoned now. That is the only way to prove that Israel is after peace, not land. Sharon and Bibi changed Israel from the just defender of its existence to the unjust land-grabber, and it has predictably lost legitimacy. Time to show the world once more who is the aggressor here. Abandon the settlers, offer peace talks, and let the Palestinians show their true face.
45. NEWS FLASH ISRAEL NEVER HAD
ADAM ,   CHICAGO   (12.25.12)
INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT.IN 1967 YOU HAD RESPECT FOR YOUR MIGHT. IN 1972 YOU HAD RESPECT FOR THE HUNTING DOWN AND ELIMINATION OF THE MUNICH OLYMPIC KILLERS. YOU HAD RESPECT FOR THE RAID ON ENTEBE UGANDA.GET THE POINT JEWS DO NOT GET SUPPORT AND RESPECT UNTILL THEY USE BRAZEN FORCE
46. #39 thank you. Your opnions are valuable
Avramele   (12.25.12)
As a tough dove my leftist friends call me fascist and my dati and rightist friends and family think I'm naive, self hating and worse. I once had afternoon tea with Yosef Burg z'l of mafdal. He told me sometimes being a moderate is the most radical thing one can be. As to your suggestion of deposing fatah, there is an old English expression "never pray for a new king". That's what got us Hezbollah, Hamas and Morsi. Call their bluff and negotiate with who we got.
47. What rock has he been living under?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.25.12)
Not only have we attempted this stupidity before - but repeated a few times as well and we all know how well that has worked. Then the moronic comments about the world community. Guess he hasn't ever figured out that the world community has been attempting to murder us for the past 2,000 years or so. I am sick and tired of the extreme leftists that control the IDF, media, schools and courts. This is a democracy and they are a small stupid minority.
48. #39 Destroy Hamas and Likud
(12.25.12)
Then you'll have complete peace in a month.
49. ABSOLUTELY 100% CORRECT !
Rafi ,   US   (12.25.12)
50. that's what prophets of old said about the future of Israel
Galut ia ,   selah   (12.25.12)
all nations would be arrayed against Jerusalem ....the book of books is correct
51. #20 and what will be sanctioned? Humus?
Michael Peter Redbou ,   Arad   (12.25.12)
Sorry but you post without knowledge. Israel is the #2 hi-tech start-up nation in the world and in the top 4-6 arms exporters. And it's medical drugs and equipment are in top demand. What is going to be sanctioned? A stronger currency than the US and probably all of Europe. Best to know facts before posting.
52. Mr. Yadlin, when did you go to England last time?
Miron ,   USA   (12.25.12)
With a warrant for war crimes in his name waiting this dude is advocating support from those who already sentenced this "peace loving dove" to life in prison. I doubt Mr. Yadlin is this much immoral, or even capable of suh deceitfull propaganda. More likely surreptitiously funding agency, a. k. a. "secular NGO" or in Western speak "friend of Israel" gave money to the pundit to hand pick a word or two out of a speech and spint those around.
53. To # 11 Unnecessary ??????????/
Stan ,   Israel   (12.26.12)
13 million Jews 7 Billion non Jews. May I remind you that a powerful military and economic state - SOUTH AFRICA was boycotted until it collapsed because GLOBAL CONSENSUS objected to its policies.
54. To # 12 Rodney stick to your sun and
Stan ,   Israel   (12.26.12)
surfing. You know nothing about anything else. Almost all the recent heads of Israel,s security, oppose the policies of the present government. Also most of the former field generals as well as experts on the Middle East, and other respected leaders in Academics, Finance and Industry. Just as the Nationalist Party, with it's enormous support by the "Chateisim" led to the collapse of White SA, so this Israeli government, with it's support by most of the religious Jews and the prolitariat will lead to Israel's collapse due to boycott.
55. To # 35, 40 THANK YOU
Stan ,   Israel   (12.26.12)
Finally some words of good sense!
56. #54 stan
solomon ,   bklyn   (12.28.12)
Many people in the groups you mention oppose the policies of the present government. Most? No. And please define "proletariat". Is it the working class, aka most Israelis?
