1. Either sun or a roof under my head
Jerome ,   AKL   (12.26.12)
New Zealand is the best place on earth and Auckland 1st city in the world if we believe statistics. However, we all spend our free time in basements were we have gym equipment, monopoly games and pool tables. Why? because it rains all the time and we can't go out. In Israel you have everything for the outdoors, but you pray for the rain. Here we pray for sun, but God is profoundly deaf. The dillema is to sell a big house here and not being able to buy a 2bedrooms in Israel. I want to vote. I want to be part of my people, but housing is so expensive?
2. Why vote?
Dan ,   Kefar Saba   (12.27.12)
The reason for this question follows: I vote for a party PLATFORM I want (and trust) number 10 on the list. I do not trust 2,3,6,7,8 but I have to vote for the party. The first x number of the party list enter the Kenneset. The people entering (who I did not vote for) can now switch parties. Did I vote for a WHO or a WHAT? I will check back here for answers.
3.  Dan @2
Jerome ,   AKL   (12.27.12)
People voted for Ehud Olmert because they were Likud supporters. He got the votes, jumped ship and became the most radical of the leftists with his Kadima party. It turns out that he offered Jerusalem and virtually all the WB to the palis on a silver platter. Even Clinton could not believe his eyes! The Likud and Netanyahu know how to deal with the neighbours and the West. Sorry I can't vote from here- downunder.
4. Alarming statistics
Jake B. ,   Cleveland, OH   (12.27.12)
560,000 Israelis who are eligible to vote are living abroad. So, if we include their children, what is the total number of Israelis living abroad?
5. #4 that includes their children
Vlad   (12.27.12)
Children of yordim are counted as Israelis up to the first generation. Also, many of these voters abroad are Arabs and non-Jewish Russians (a lot of Russian non-Jews left).
6. To #5 Vlad
Gershon Reed ,   Be'er Sheva, Israel   (12.27.12)
Vlad, The article says 560,000 who are eligible to vote live abroad. So this would not include those under the age of 18.
7. Israel is so high-tech - why can't vote from abroad
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (12.27.12)
like I do for U.S. Set up website for Israeli citizens to re-register their info, send them the ballot by email, then they need to send back ballot by mail, fax, email. Have a specific voting station just for the computer votes.
