First of all, I do NOT advocate recreational drug use, ever. But seriously, if these cocaine users can go about their lives without bothering anyone, go to work, paying their taxes, drive their cars responsibly... -why is there a problem? Junk food kills more people than anything, why don't we focus on that first? Then there are all the bad drivers out there. How about alcohol? How about the animal abuse in the factory farm industry. (including the "glatt kosher" system.) Human sex trafficking? How about people that misuse prescription drugs? Cigarets? Smoking while pregnant? When you have a hypocritical system, its no wonder so many people disregard the law. Locking people up for a victimless crime is immoral, illogical, unsustainable and counter productive. Until they've done something more serious like putting others in danger or some type of theft, I think it would be wiser to leave them alone for now. Maybe try focusing on some more critical problems. After all the "war on drugs" was deemed an "abysmal failure".

I am sorry number 8 but you really do not know what you are talking about. coke is a drug that kills. It destroys lives and families. I know i watch my brother die. He started with coke up his nose, then smoking it. He was a junkie. My parents spent money on him with so many dr's. Chabd rehab. He would be sober for months then go out. He want thru $1,000.00 of dollars. It destroyed him and our family. He has a son and daughter who do not have a father. My brother was a smart, educated man, good heart and loved G-D. Unfortunately yours (and I concur) are voices in the psycho-social wilderness - it makes law enforcers feel valid and "potent" selecting victimless, "safe" illegal drug users, while complex, insoluble items like sex trafficking, prescription Drugs, Alcoholism and other horrors do not have the aura of "accomplishment" for people responsible to uphold laws in Western democracies.
