1. Three-headed Shas? No, thanks
Nora Tel Aviv   (12.31.12)
Shas is degenerating. Der`i is the cause. Next coalition should leave Shas out.
2. Hopefully Likud will lose many more
Rachel ,   US   (01.01.13)
The PM has shown himself to be a coward.
3. perhaps they should make accounting
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (01.01.13)
It would be wise of Likud/Baitainu to understand why they are losing seats and to whom. They are NOT losing to the ultra-Orthodox or S'fardim, since they remain true to their parties. They are not losing to the left, rather the left is losing voters. They are losing to the religious right (read: Bennett) since more and more Israelis realize that a strong Israel is the only future for this country and land give aways only bait the Arabs to start wars.
4. I am not sure that prime minster Yachimovich was YB
zionist forever   (01.01.13)
These little parties who exist solely to join coalitions for don't understand that alone they are nobodies but if they merge with none of the big boys they have real power and having tantrums end up destroying everything destroying both parties. There is a real risk now that without Liberman YB is going to tear itself apart ending the merger and that Likud will not be able to get a majority and the next PM will be Shelly with her crazy economic policies or the opportunist who is not suited to the top trying to form a left wing dominated coalition will prefer a left wing dominated coalition of the top 3 parties with natural left wing allies like Meretz and Lapid to make up the extras leaving YB a party headed for extinction like Kadima. Instead of moaning these idiots in YB should be grateful that thanks to this merger their party should be part of the government giving them more political influence than they could have ever dreamed of alone.
