31. Stop funding these 'schools!!!'
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (01.02.13)
Something is becoming very rotten here with violence becoming a way of responding among the hareidim. If rabbis don't say something against this, this will be one more push away from Judaism for me. (and I'm certainly no pro-LGBT person).
32. Shalom Hartman
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.02.13)
Maybe not a "hard core haredi enclave" , but every time i'm going through i see some haredi boys waiting at the bus stations .
33. I see them every Shabbat
JewishHeart ,   Israel   (01.02.13)
Every Shabbat a crowd of Haredi hooligans and thugs come to Binyan Clal in Jerusalem. They bring their kids and start pronouncing curses on the Ethiopian restaurant as well as the bank caspomat. They come in the hundreds and you can hear them shouting from at least a kilometer away. They bring their kids too...and shout at secular passerbys as well as any cars that are passing by (Clal is not a religious neighborhood). Last week, I yelled back at them "Hilul Hashem"....and said..."achshav atem choshvim sh' am yisrael yirzu lachsor b'tshuva v'lehiyot comochem...hahahahaha"
34. Yeshivot teachers
Ralph ,   Caesarea   (01.02.13)

Dan   (01.02.13)

37. Wheres the doctor report?
Jayjay ,   Israel   (01.02.13)
I smell BS. Why even print this unverified claim? So if i say a group of Arabs spat at me, you will print it ???
38. Why our government is silent on these thugs!
Jew1 ,   Ashdod   (01.02.13)
Why our government is allowing these jewish taliban to grow and prosper? Why not to deal with this problem right now? Start putting these thughs in jail and stop their funding immediately. Force their schools to teach core subjects. Empty head devils workshop. They have too much free time. Make them study and work for their bread and let them take responsibility towards their country. If anyone responsible here is our government to provide them the tools to prosper in wrong way.
39. True Torah law
Rinah   (01.02.13)
Are the boys who stoned this girl without any sin? The way to restoration is to ask her forgiveness and to choose to live by true Torah law: balance of justice and mercy. May they overcome the yetzer ha ra and not be overcome by it.
40. Cruelty is against Jewish values
Sari ,   Netanya, Israel   (01.02.13)
Not only is it tragic that a girl in a Jewish neighborhood was assaulted. Abuse by Jews against another Jew is a painful example of how we have failed in educating our children to have compassion for others.
41. 20 Mordecai.The voice of reason.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.02.13)
42. No. 24 Larry
NYC Girl   (01.02.13)
Provocative? Even if she had been walking around without a stitch of clothing, what right would these boys have to physically assault her?
43. Haredi boys or Shaharia boys
Dani ,   Amsterdam   (01.02.13)
What is the difference between them, someone is assaulted over appearances. Anyway doing that they are offending G-D name doing Hillul Ha shem. Put them i Jail and throw the key away
44. 24, Are you saying...
Anna Giladi ,   Haifa   (01.02.13)
...that if she looked provocative, it would have been okay to attack her? In that case, you would be defending basic human rights violations.
45. She Took a Rock or Rocks to the Face?
El-Nakam ,   TA, Israel   (01.02.13)
Let's see the bruises.
46. Ora & mordechai 20 . A liar ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.02.13)
Do you think that everyone who tell's something is a liar ? The article does not say where it happened or so . But in the complaint it will certainly be written .
47. Years ago abroad
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.02.13)
On a hot summer day i was going with my little daughter who was wearing a short . A belzer i knew said : if she wears trousers , let it at least be long ones .
48. Ora , you are not able to judge
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.02.13)
49. #37 jay
Aw ,   Jerusalem israel   (01.02.13)
What will you say when it's your sister? You're a foolish chauvinistic pig!!!
50. # 24 Larry the boys' ran away
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.02.13)
Apparently they lacked the courage to 'fess up' when the cops came. No real man acts this way. Only a coward attacks a woman, gay or not.
51. My previous message was not posted!
Vlad ,   Jerusalem   (01.02.13)
So I repeat: # 20 is right. This story seems invented. The closer the elections the more such stories will appear. The fact is that not the religious hate and attack the seculars but on the opposite - the seculars hate and attack the religious. I'm 24 years in Israel and have witnessed several incidents of this kind (beating, humiliation, etc.) Some stories are published by the charedi press, some not. My own grandsons of 10 and 12 years are regularly stoned in the Neve Yakov neighbourhood by the local secular youths when they return home from the cheder. Sometimes the teachers accompany them to prevent such attacks. The police and YNet are not interested. Please publish this post.
52. to 51 And we should believe you ???
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.02.13)
53. to 52 - but we should believe you??? LOL
(01.02.13)
54. I never stoned a Haredi, but should have.
Michael ,   California, USA   (01.02.13)
I hated them all my life in Israel and now I am aware American Haredim are very different, so I do respect these country men of mine. Why doesn't Israel put American Haredim in educator positions in Yeshivot? Secular people have what to do with their lives, know where they are going. Education to secular is a door that becomes open in schools, leading to further achievements in life. To Haredim, ideas apparently pulled out from the Torah at the Yeshivot, and magnified by their teachers, become an end-purpose in life. They do not look forward to a career, to serving the country, to advancing. Maybe to having many children they do aspire, that's about it. Forcing their Haredi ideas of dress code on girls become goals equivalent to mitzvot, which is abhorrent and should be strictly penalized by the State..
55. something fishy about this story
Zvika ,   Jerusalem   (01.02.13)
What are a group of haredi boys doing in Ganei Tikva? Are there any yeshivot there? Something doesn't make sense here.
56. No jail sentence without fool proof !
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.02.13)
57. 51 Does not sound unlikely.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.02.13)

Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.02.13)
