1. There is NO green line...except in the minds
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.05.13)
of Israels MORTAL enemies >>> Judea and Samaria are Israel !
2. The defining question is: WHO is in acceptance
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.05.13)
of the green line ?...ONLY Israels mortal enemies ! Of course Judea and Samaria are the centerpiece of the land of Israel !
3. Perhaps annexation is not good idea. However, Israel still
leo ,   usa   (01.05.13)
can annex areas populated by Jews. If Arabs are insisting on future Palestinian state being a Judenrein, why not give it to them. And if Arabs still will not agree to settle on borders of their new state, then process of annexation in stages can continue and for as long as necessary.
4. What if......?
Bertram ,   London, UK   (01.05.13)
I wonder what would have been the political stance of all those proposing annexation of one kind or another had the Six-Day War not occurred? Would they simply have sniped from the sidelines? Would they have proposed an offensive war against Jordan to gain 'Judea and Samaria'? Or.......what?
5. To # 1, 2, How did a nice German like you
Stan ,   Israel   (01.05.13)
turn into a Right wing extremist? For your information: Two polls carried out this week show that between 55 - 57% of Likud - Yisrael Beiteinu supporters favour the establishment of a demilitarised Palestinian State on the basis of the 67 border with exchange of territory. Jerusalem divided according to Jewish and Arab populated areas, and control of the Old City and Temple Mount, under joint American, Israeli Palestinian control. Refugees may return to the Palestinian State but not to Israel. I would accept this, what about you?

7. But Hendel is wrong
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.05.13)
Annexation will give Israel the perfect opportunity to repatriate all the Arabs in Judea and Samaria to Jordan. We do not have to absorb them and make them Israeli citizens. They are not stateless, they are Jordanian citizens, courtesy of Jordan's 1954 Citizenship Law, which conferred Jordanian citizenship upon all Arabs in the West Bank, and their progeny, irrevocably. Oh, to be sure, Jordan has repeatedly tried to rescind that law but the International Court of Justice has repeatedly ruled that an irrevocable grant of citizenship is precisely that -- IRREVOCABLE. Israel is a sovereign state; all sovereign states have the right to determine which foreigners may or may not reside within their borders. There is nothing in international law preventing Israel from repatriating Jordanian citizens to Jordan. NOTHING. Following World War II, several million ethnic Germans were uprooted from countries in which they were citizens, and sent back to Germany -- in many cases, a country they had never even seen. If that was deemed acceptable, why should Israel be castigated for repatriating Jordan citizens to their country of citizenship? Israel needs to learn to be a little less afraid of international reaction, and a little more focused on doing that which is best for Israel.
8. Judea and Samaria
ltrail ,   United States   (01.05.13)
The annexing of Judea and Samaria make a great article for politicians, any day. The actual annexing of Judea and Samaria should be done immediately. Working out the details of handling the inhabitants can be sorted out later. To the leaders of The State of Israel: JUST DO IT.
9. Funny
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (01.05.13)
For two decades the leftists have been screaming ethnic cleansing of Jews and appeasement to Arabs will bring peace. Now that we have had over 2,000 murdered, tens of thousands maimed and hundreds of thousands of terrorist attacks - the left wingers are out of an original thought and are in blame mode - not for our actions - but for their own stupidity. Yes we do have solutions - ones that even will work, but they are too blind and racist to see that and continue to blame us for their own faults.
10. It Amazes Me
Terry Feld ,   Houston, Terxas   (01.05.13)
"Apartheid State" is shouted against Israel, BUT not one murmur about the Judenrein demanding Muslims. Still, Israel must be cautious about any hint of annexing only Jewish Areas, and creating islands in the midst of the sea of Paleos.

"How did that nice German..." you ask? Because he's a normal guy with normal instincts. Additionally, he has obviously read his Bible!

"...the International Court of Justice has repeatedly ruled that an irrevocable grant of citizenship is precisely that -- IRREVOCABLE. " I am willing to concede this but, just for my information, can you give me a reference to support your assertion?
16. Coalition
ZviIsrael ,   Yerushalaim   (01.05.13)
The people voting Likud beytenu only to stay away from lunnie left. But If natagniahu wants coalition with left why would we vote for him Don't you see that is a trick that Barack is resigning just to get people's votes. He will be back later. Do not vote Likud he is puppet of the arabised state department

I've always wondered what would happen if the Romans never occupied ancient Judea. I've always wondered what would happen if Hannibal had been successful in destroying Rome. Aren't the what if's a fun cognitive exercise? Oh look a bright light, why don't you go and chase it.
18. Israel can't freely annex and send back palis to jordan
Avan   (01.05.13)
But it should get ready to do that when civil war spreads out of Syria... Because it will draw less international attention.
19. annexation is the biggest mistake we could make
zionist forever   (01.05.13)
I was at the application for sovereignty over Judea & Samaria conference and whilst the speakers all had some very interesting ideas but what non of them seriously considered was the arab population. We cannot force Jordan or any other country to give the arabs citizenship. Felgin's wacky idea is just plain old wacky and is based on the assumption that 4 million arabs want to emigrate. The sad fact is that if we annex we also annex the 4 million+ arabs, in the real world there is no way we will have to end the Jewish state concept because you add them & the arabs already living here their population is about the same as the Jewish one which is why no government has ever annexed it. If the Heshimites fall in Jordan it might be a game changer but for now must not annex Judea & Samaria because it will lead to the end of Jewish state.
20. If the Pals sincerrely sought a solution
Raphael ,   Netanya   (01.05.13)
They would start negotiations asap, so as to block any further settlement. But I am afraid they are satisfied with a low intensity conflict, which opens them the bonanza of international aid.

How long, do you think, will a Palestinian State remain demilitarized? Probably not longer than a week.

26. ANNEX ANNEX ANNEX
ZEV BERNICK ,   TORONTO CANADA   (01.06.13)
the biggest mistake ISRAEL will ever make is by not implementing the LEVY-REPORT... IMMEDIATELY..!! All residents, must swear allegiance to the JEWISH-STATE.. those that do not are to be considered. HOSTILE, & be forced to seek a home in the 23 other aarb countries...
27. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.06.13)
The International Court of Justice in The Hague has a website. Go for it. I read Court rulings in both Westlaw and Bloomberg, but those are pay sites and I cannot post links to the rulings without compromising my firm's website. I'm not prepared to do that, sorry. But you can start small: ask any West Bank Arab which passport he holds. I can save you the trouble -- the answer is "Jordanian." How many countries do you know of that issue passports to noncitizens?
