1. kadmon is a coward l
mohson   (01.06.13)
there is nothing wrong with barak smoking a cigar and having a shot. As long as yaalon replaces barak, then things are fine. Diskin allying himself with olmert and peres turns my stomach period.
2. Sima Kadmon, you are as childish and deluded as Diskin
Keren ,   IL-BR   (01.06.13)
Calling what that man said(excuse me ,I meant what that man FELT)"a chilling document"is laughable! That man only "feels, senses and believes"and he is a complete JOKE in every one of his("felt") words! That was an horrible interview by a former Shin Bet chief.Simply horrible.
3. Your first time hearing this?
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (01.06.13)
First, there is no such thing as a "perfect" leader, let alone a perfect man. Decisions, like the ones Diskin mentioned, have been made since time immemorial. Israel is not immunized from power hungry people either. Some wake each day to get more, more, more. Reflect on the past history of a person's decision. How did IT effect the greater good, or not? Not from hearsay.
4. Accusations without any substance !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (01.06.13)
5. The Lunatic Left is practically hallucinating!
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.06.13)
Oy, what a joy: to live long enough to witness this! Finally it's fashionable to be a patriot in my own country!
6. Yes Indeed
TC   (01.06.13)
Hopefully the voters will not forget this. Netanyahu has to leave the PM Office for Israel's sake.
7. I also like cigars...nothing wrong with it !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.06.13)
8. Noni Mozes new toy diskin
Ilan   (01.06.13)
Both the timing and content were paid for
9. You Forget
Moshe ,   Givataim   (01.06.13)
You all forget that a few weeks ago these cowards – Bibi, Barak and Lieberman – have shameful failed to bring the last operation in Gaza to a good end, and not to the end that we have seen. All the things mentioned and said in the article before are perfectly matching their behavior during the operation. It is time for us to wake up, and see the way that these guys are: just a bunch of fools that are not thinking about our country but about themselves and the best way for them to keep in power. With all the respect and there is a respect: don’t vote for any of those who have failed. It is time for a strong and though leader that puts all of our “friends” in their corner and that is also finally taking some actions inside the country and starting to dry this swamp of lies and corruptions.
10. to2
shahd   (01.06.13)
the fault is not in cigar or a glass but when a man feel something wrong may he gives an acuse an apparent one
11. The author and leftists like her should
Israeli 2   (01.07.13)
terrify us all! What is wrong with these Mosadnikim? Inspect Tzipi carefully and then we know what gives. That IS scary.
12. When nearing the button - glass of whiskey...
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (01.07.13)
and a good cigar is advisable. You wouldn't anyone to jump the gun, or accidentally lean on the button, just because his wife yelled at him for not spending enough time with the kids. I think Im going to go pour myself a cold one.
13. Why is he so public now, short before election day?
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (01.07.13)
Could there be another reason, why Diskin is publicly so visible just a few days before election day? Could it be, that he acts according to another agenda?
14. Shame. Pure election propaganda. Who paid you for this
mel ,   miami   (01.07.13)
15. Slander, slander and lies
Roy ,   Chicago   (01.07.13)
16. Diskin was an unwitting pawn in BB's PSYWAR against Iran
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.07.13)
Good leaks, bad leaks, one supports PSYWAR, other defeats it. Diskin and many other high ranking Israeli officials who opposed war on Iran were good leakers, portraying BB as a madman willing to bomb Iran. Resulting in crippling global sanctions on Iran.
17. Nonesense!
Yoda ,   NY USA   (01.07.13)
A moron from the left! How they allow u to write in the jpost?! If T. Livini decided to change her mind and run to the left only because of Diskin's hallucination then the right topic to discuss would be who's hallucinating more she or Diskin!
18. ??????
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (01.07.13)
From 7500 miles away, after reading this opinion piece and the talkbacks, I don't know what to make of it all...I wish I did. I just hope that Israel ends up with leaders with wisdom, experience and good judgment. She's never had the luxury of having leaders who could have a long learning curve...
19. Israel must be permanently rescued from loony left.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.07.13)
Israelis appear poised to rescue Israel from the loony left. This would be the best thing that has happened to Israel for decades. We must not tolerate another Oslo, another Disengagement, another flight from our land, another mass freeing of terrorists...We must put a permanent end to leftist leadership and the monstrously destructive leftist agenda.
20. here is what terrifies me
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (01.07.13)
1 jews who hate israel; 2 obama; 3 iran; 4 the muslim brotherhood; 5 syria's chemical weapons; 6 hezbollah; 7 people who are terrified by bibi netanyahu.
21. Kol Hakavod to Diskin
Sam ,   Kfar Saba   (01.07.13)
And let disclosures like this be a lesson to future politicians who have lost sight that their duty is to work hard and represent the nation. Bibi's term has been nothing short of a nightmare - much worse than initially anticipated.
22. Winston Churchill Cigar + Brandy nightly
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (01.07.13)
Sima appears an impressionable and unstable person, naive to boot. Those kind of meetings rehearse what has been already decided pretty much unless factor X not taken into account turns up Does not say much for Diskin
23. #6 what is the choice?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (01.07.13)
Let's pretend that Diskin is not just a failed civil servant, lashing out at his former employers because he did not get a promotion, but that Netanyahu is really inept. We have draft-dodger Lapid who never did anything except work at his daddy's newspaper. We have journalist Yehimovitch, junior MK, never in government and who supported the Hezbollah takeover of Lebanon that brought us rockets on Haifa. We have the corrupt Livni who got her job because of her daddy, whose "genius" brought us rockets on Rishon and whose "plan" is rockets on Modiin and Shoham. last we have Bennet: spotless army service, totally honest, who set up his own company and made jobs for hundreds of Israelis. Who will you vote for?
24. More, publish MORE articles of this kind please!!!it's heart
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.07.13)
warming to witness Lunatic Left in a fit of pre-election panic!!!! Entertainment at it's best.
25. Retirement
Zechariah   (01.07.13)
Barak is too old but on humane grounds ought to be allowed to enjoy himself .
26. News flash for Diskin. Nobody elected you as leader
Johnny ,   Ramat Gan   (01.07.13)
So once out of office you run your mouth? Mossad and Shin Bet have been wrong before. CIA failed to forsee 9/11. Mossad failed to predict the Yom Kippur war. Don't tell us you know everything. You are a very arrogant man.
27. If Iran goes Nuclear, Diskin will be judged by history
Johnny ,   Ramat Gan   (01.07.13)
Pray that this doesn't happen Diskin. You will yet go down as traitor to Israels security for refusing to stop the Iranian Nuclear program. You know what we do to traitors in this country? Give them a job in Haaretz. How does that sound?
28. Churchill also liked Whiskey and Cigars
Johnny ,   Ramat Gan   (01.07.13)
29. Not about Diskin
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (01.07.13)
This is not about Diskin, or his motives, as the author rightly points out. Therefore all talkbacks referring to that are simply irrelevant. Let the blind brainwashed Bibi supporters think for themselves, if they are capable of it, and ask themselves the following question. Would you put your and your children's lives on the line, completely trusting the motives of Bibi, Barak and Lieberman?
30. Netanyahu is more worried about his future than...
TC   (01.07.13)
Israel's future. If at all.
