It's not enough to simply carp about whether Hagel is good or bad for the DOD and for the defense of Israel. I hope people who read this article will take the time to write a letter to their state Senator and make their objections known to Hagel. The Senators for each state have an email address and the communication is easy to make. Senators only respond to their own state residents, so it does not do any good to write or communicate to an out of state Senator. I've let my state's Senators know how opposed I am and you should do the same.

My concern, as an American and a Jew, is that so many Jews are on the far left, are anti America and anti Israel. Support for Israel's security is not anywhere near universal among Jew, many of whom are in Israel as well. Groups like "Peace Now"', "B'Tzelem", "J Street", and many others are very anti Israel. What worries me most is the Jewish students being brainwashed by far left educators who are Israel haters and pro Palis. Thankfully, AIPAC speaks for many more Jews than the above mentioned groups.

So tired of hearing about the aid the U.S. gives Israel. Firstly the U.S. does nothing unless it is their self-interest. That 'aid' helps keep the U.S. and her citizens safe from the horrors of her enemies that Israel helps combat. Secondly a cheque is not sent to Israel. Rather Israel has to purchase U.S. equipment to the value of so many billions. That helps keep the U.S. arms industry and U.S. jobs protected. So cut the nonsense that Israel must grovel before the U.S. because of aid. The aid helps both countries as it should. The Hagel appointment reveals Obama's attitude to Israel. And more is coming down the pike. However the U.S. is about to be embroiled in so many financial difficulties that the mid-east will soon be lower down on their list.
