Torah Study. Please no more politics for you.
2. Ariel Sharon, the man who was cursed by the Rabbis over
Rivkah   (01.12.13)
the Gaza pullout is still alive at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. Will he outlive the Rabbis who tried to kill him through doctors who caused an iatrogenic (physician induced) stroke with a contraindicated injectable blood thinner? Will Sharon outlive the other abuse he suffered such as not being given intravenous Caffeinol at the E.R. there in 2006 when he got there within an hour of the stroke, well within the three hour window that could have reversed 80% of the damage from the stroke? Will Sharon recover and outlive those who hated him? With HaShem all things are possible. Jerusalem is protected just as Tel Aviv was protected by Sharon's presence since the ELS Scripture codes says, "Yahweh loves A. Sharon." Sharon belongs to Yahweh. Pulling out of Gaza was a mistake, but where are the Rabbis in raising funds to pay the Jews who left Gaza and were not compensated? Hmm? They are just like the charities and churches and temples in America who have never helped me in need. After all I did for them, they did nothing for me.

Akiva   (01.12.13)
How DARE people, non-Israelis to boot, insult a fellow Jew let alone the leader of Sefardi and Mizrachi Jews worldwide. This man means so very much to millions of people and you armchair talkbackers are completely and utterly irrelevant. Will all the actual Jews in here please be mispallel for מרן הרב עובדיה בן גורג’יה
21. #15 Jewish soldiers die protecting the sorry
A ,   Belgium   (01.12.13)
a$$e$ of people like Ovadia Yosef, and it doesn't matter if they are observant or not, Sephardi or Ashkenazi, kibbutznik, meetnachal...Tel Avivi or Har Hebroni...I stand on my words, Ovadia Yosef should be ashamed of his.

23. He's meant well. We'll keep him in our prayers.
24. Speedy and full recovery to Maran!
Moshino ,   Tel Aviv   (01.13.13)
Many great geniuses of humanity are oftentimes only deemed so posthumously. May this not be the case with one of our biggest sages and very often misunderstood by the secular public: Rav Ovadya Yosef.
25. Minor stroks ? what a shame it wasnt major
Haim ,   TA   (01.13.13)
The man is an evil rascist, no pity for him what so ever.
26. Brave man, inappropriate jokester
Avi Ze'ev ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.13.13)
Those dancing with glee likely don't know the brave halachic decisions Rabbi Ovadia Yosef made. I don't like some of the comments he has made over the years (they are often attempts at jokes), but he has been a great and moderating force in Jewish law. There is a TV documentary with English subtitles on youtube everyone should see. As the host says, he disagrees with 70% of what he has said but agrees with 70% of his halachic decisions.
27. We pray for you...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.13.13)
28. Haim
Dovid ,   Haifa   (01.13.13)
why are you so violently opposed to religion? to wish a man ill health. You are shameful and i think you are an arab.
29. # 28
Harry ,   Afula, Israel   (01.13.13)
Why do you insult the Arabs, they have nothing to do with the rabbi.Shame on you.
30. #25 funny
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (01.13.13)
Without Ovadiah Yosef, Rabin would never have had his coalition and the extreme Left would have never been able to force Oslo I on Israel. Barak, Sharon and Olmerd would have never been able to have their Leftist coalitions. Since 1992, Israel would have been ruled by rational centrist governments under Likud instead of the messianic Labor and Kadima governments. Yet now, it is the Leftists that cheer when this old man has a stroke. Funny, isn't it?
