Since it seems that Netanyahu and the far-right government will win Israeli elections, I think it will really be tough going between the U.S. and Israel. I think Israel will be in for a really hard time in many areas.

This is an infuriating article. Netanyahu had to fight an IDF and intelligence “leadership” who refused to attempt to prepare plans. In United States we call this insubordination bordering on treason. He faced a US president who went out of his way to enable the Iranians to proceed. He had a Hillary Clinton and a Martin Dempsey to announce that the US had no red lines and no timetables. Now he has a Brezinski who urged that the US shoot down any attacking Israeli aircraft and a Hagel who made it very clear he opposed any attack or even preparation for attack on Iran. He faced American Jewish liberals who branded him a warmonger. Jay Street and Americans for peace now mobilized a violence assault on his character. The American reform movement has become a prisoner of saving the world at the expense of Israel. He faced in Israeli media with reporters distorting the facts and attempting to alienate the public and sow discord. He faced Livini,Peres ,Olmert and other self-serving politicians who still undercut him abroad and in Israel on this problem. He did not fail. It is newspapers like this one and writers like this one who are failing the Israeli public and endangering the survival of Israel.

Second Olso War under the Barak regime, stopped by Right-wing Sharon.
