I looked up the word in translations in many of the the languages I can read & understand. Of course, Biblia Sacra Vulgata translates as "Palestinorum", because that is the word those who spoke Latin, ie the Romans, used to refer to that area. However, here are the Italian, French, Spanish, Portugese, and Romanian translations: della Filistea (Conferenza Episcopale Italiana), les districts philistins (La Bible du Semeur), da Filístia (João Ferreira de Almeida Atualizada), and ţinuturile Filistenilor (Cornilescu). Even Luther's translation was der Philister. In case you don't know any of those languages, all the contemporary English translations I have checked, including Amplified Bible, Common English Bible, English Standard Version, GOD’S WORD Translation, New ASB, and New KJV, refer to Philistia. All those are obviously more accurate translations of the original צֹר וְצִידוֹן, וְכֹל, גְּלִילוֹת פְּלָשֶׁת -- I took enough Hebrew to make sure I'm at least able to read the words The Almighty truly said.
