WRONG! equality for all, they must serve in the army under the rules of the IDF and not those the Haridi wish to impose on the IDF, the IDF is the boss, with the draft at exactly the same age as for nor Haridi, AND they should find work without any special support, enough of putting money in these parasites pockets.

Haredim must work and serve in the IDF just anyone else. This means that haredi children must be taught secular subjects that will give them the skills to find employment, and boys must interact with girls to develop the interpersonal skills they will need to deal with women in the workforce. They also must be taught not to marginalize women, as they are currently taught by watching the belavior of their elders. Haredi rabbs will not agree to the above not because it violates some rule in the Torah, but because it is a direct challenge to their power and influence over their followers. This means that Haredim will need to use their own common sense and good judgement and do what's right, and move closer to the wider society, even thought it is directly counter to their rabbi's opinion. They can still study Torah when they are not working. We can only hope they will do this, and are not shunned by the rest of the haredi community. Due to rapid growth rate of the haredi population, some day in the future Israel will reach a point were there are not a sufficient number of workers to pay into the welfare programs that support the non-working haredi. Israel's societial model is flawed. Because of this, I fear for Israel's long term economic future.

4. 2 Haredi must this ,Haredi must that

What about the Secular? is everything perfect there? Nothing needs to improve? Both have to do the needed steps towards a JEWISH state where ALL citizens can live in harmony.
5. I'd settle for just this:

Hareidim must stop harassing seculars over perceived slights. If they agree to that, I'll be happy. Work, yes but I'll compromise on the army if they agree to end all harassment and behave. Those that refuse to co-operate will be arrested and their leaders will turn their backs on their fellows who fail to obey the law. Agree to that and we can talk about the army. I am getting tired of Hareidi harassment of their fellow Jews. When Arabs make trouble, I'm not happy but I'm not surprised. It's in their nature. But Jews should not be harassing their fellow Jews (that goes both ways; seculars should not be eating pork ribs on Yom Kippur in front of Hareidim just to "bug the frummies"; concomitantly the Hareidim shouldn't throw stones at cars that drive on Saturday and yell "Shabbos, shabbos". They ESPECIALLY shouldn't harass secular women who don't "dress right"). A warning to Hareidi zealots who will try to harass Israeli women: Don't do it! 'Nuff said.
6. charadim can serve in IDF and work
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (01.19.13)
The problem is two fold, the seculars hate the charadim and don't want them in the IDF and don't want to hire them to work. The second side of the problem is that Charadim don't need to work for people who hate the or serve in an army that refuses to accommodate them. I know. I spent time with the army and worked in the private sector.
7. #4 ORA: It is not the seculars who
Runner1983 ,   USA   (01.19.13)
marginalize women, do not educate their children so instead of becoming productive members of society, they do not work (contrary to the teachings of the Torah) and need to take welfare from those that do work, impose their way of life on others and would move Israel towards a theocracy given the opportunity. This is not how the founders of Israel invisioned the country some 65 years later. I always read statements by seculars of how the seculars must be more sensitive to the Haredim. I never read statements by the Haredim, of how the Haredim must be more sensitive to the seculars. In fact, unless you are haredi, you are not even recognized as real Jews. So you tell me where the burden to change falls, the seculars or the Haredim?
8. PS ORA: By the way, I agree with your statement
Runner1983 ,   USA   (01.19.13)
that all citizens of Israel must live in harmony.
9. Haredim are not allowed to work..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.19.13)
if they have not served in the IDF first. They need parnasa and wish they could do so.
10. why do we need another subsidy?!
ndav ,   tlv   (01.20.13)
what is wrong with people here? Why do we need to subsidize the Hardim AGAIN to integrate them into the work force? All you have to do is enforce the mandatory teaching of the national school curriculum, with useful secular subjects annd end ALL subsidies to the Haredim in so called Kollels! Once the government money runs out, they will be forced to go out and get a REAL education and then a job, like everyone else. The same goes for the Arabs! btw, both arab and haredi men and women SHOULD be drafted into the National Service!

Israeli youth are not taught Jewish values suitably. Many think that circumcision is unnecessary and barbaric and won t do it to their children.
14. #13 ORA: I complete disagree with those
Runner1983 ,   USA   (01.20.13)
Jews who do not circumcise their new-born sons. This is in direct violation of Jewish law. However, I am completely against the unsanitary practice of MBP, practiced by haredi Jews. Unfortunately, even when an ancient practice proves harmful, it is not abandoned by the haredi rabbis. This is an unforgivable sin, especially when the potential victim is an 8 year-old infant.

Get back in your hole and stop telling everyone how to live their lives it is none of your business. you can believe what you want but you have no right to claim that people have to live according to your standards. you sound like the fascist Bennett who also wants to impose a lifestyle on the citizens of this country. neither you or he has the right to demand that my children or grandchildren be imposed upon to have to learn out-dated and superstitious rubbish to be able to live here.
17. 16 mordechai
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.21.13)
.If somebody is able to lower the food and house prices in Israel,it s BENNETT.He has proved his skills in his professional life . In the IDF too. You call him a fascist? You are wrong. He understands the needs of the Secular society and is NOT against public transportation on Shabat. I do not believe in imposing religion on others. But students should be taught Jewish values and have self esteem about their Jewish identity..
18. 14 Runner,please back up, the proof
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.21.13)
that MBP is harmful.
