Obama has made no secret of his loathing for the U.S. Constitution and the rights it give U.S. citizens. His policy has been to weaken the Constitution every chance he gets. His attack on the right to bear arms is yet another attack on the U.S. Constitution.

Pass a law that controls sale of machine guns, school security, etc. doesn't have to cost $500m. Absurd ! Americans have to remember, though, with rights come responsibility. With easy access to guns, red lines are crossed. Maybe $500m is for school security ?

Obama's plan does not solve the real problem. Scientific studies have proven that armed "white America" is far safer from violent crime and homicide than Canada and Western Europe. The crazy numbers of firearm homicides in US have nothing to do with high-capacity magazines or "assault-style" weapons (what does that mean?) but with social and economic factors associated with hispanic and black demographics. If Obama cared about saving American lives he would not waste his time on banning guns, but would solve the problems in these communities including no economic future, benefits culture, no positive male role models and gangs. $500 million could buy a lot of kids a future. But Obama does not care because he ran on increasing illegal Hispanic immigration and because of his supporter who profit from black misery. So while Obama attacks the constitution and law-abiding citizens, young black Americans will keep dying.

They were carried out by "wholesome" American white boys who randomly attacked cinemagoers and school kids with military type firearms. You seem to invent reasons to criticise Obama when he is trying to lessen the carnage done by these assault weapons.

Read what I wrote carefully. The "crazy guy attacks" (like Sandy Hook or Beltway Snipers) are rare events that are insignificant compared to the total (2010: 13000 homicides, 8775 by firearm). We can argue how best to prevent such rare events, for instance imagine how Sandy Hook would have ended if Dawn Hochsprung had a gun, but remember that McVeigh killed 168 and wounded 800 without a gun. The point I was making previously is that Obama is using 26 dead white people (a low-risk group) and ignoring around 8000 dead blacks and hispanics. I think that $500 million could save some of the 8000, without affecting any law-abiding citizen.

I am trying to have a serious fact-based discussion. The facts indicate that Obama's proposals will not save lives. The facts indicate that the real "gun problem" in America has nothing to do with Sandy Hook or the racist belief that white Americans are banjo-playin' gun-totin' yahoos. The fact show that Americans are responsible gun owners and that the "gun problem" is the social condition in which hispanics but especially blacks are living. Obama is not stupid and he knows these facts. I say that Obama is deliberately ignoring the real problem. If you do not want a serious discussion, save your fingertips.
