31. #27. Michhael: Stalin did it
Tom W ,   USA   (01.21.13)
There was a cruel autadafé against religion implemented by the Stalinist communists all over behind the Iron Curtain. The persecution of people of religious persuasion was legendary. Have you read the news? The Russian Orthodox Church in today's Russia is stronger than ever. You see, neither Nero, Torquemada or Stalin succeeded in abolishing religion and the human belief system. And the "coup de grace" was for your comrades when Chavez, the Communist extraordinaire kissed the cross. Kleenex time for you.
32. To survive
Zechariah   (01.21.13)
33. Isn't Gal-On suggesting the same thing?
William ,   Israel   (01.21.13)
"Why should we rule others" is her question but she advocates pushing her own ideological agenda upon the majority of Israelis who do not support her agenda. She IS pushing to "rule others" except she'd be the one doing the ruling, so its ok.
34. # 33
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.21.13)
Exactly William.
35. To No. 33
Bertram ,   London, UK   (01.22.13)
The point is that you and other Israeli citizens have the choice to vote for Gal-On - or not, unlike the Palestinians.
36. Why I vote Meretz
Frank ,   Raanana Israel   (01.22.13)
Only those who live here can appreciate the negative impact 45 years of ruling over the West Bank has had on Israeli society. Only Meretz is continually trying to address the issues of how to be a democratic Jewish state. The others continue down a road that everyone but they see can only lead to disaster for the Zionist dream of our founders.
37. Citizens
john ,   toronto   (01.23.13)
All citizens of Israel and Palestine should have equal rights. Let them elect their own leaders to lead their people. These two states are equal part of the nation. No one should be paid to leave. Stop interfering in each others politics and fighting each other.
38. leader
john ,   toronto   (01.23.13)
I would elect her leader of the people.
39. Prime minister
john ,   toronto   (01.23.13)
Even if Netanyahu is the Prime minister of the Israel, she should determine the agenda of the state.
40. #35 - "Palestinians" have the right to vote and did
William ,   Israel   (01.23.13)
And they chose terrorist groups and intifadas, so they made their own bed. They could change that with another vote, but yearly polling shows the majority in support of terrorism and wiping out the Jewish State. So will it really matter? I care not for the "Palestinians" but rather all Israeli citizens and their safety. I didn't vote for Meretz. If the "Palestinians" continue their violence, we will do what we must to remain safe and prosperous. If they decide to abide by a 2-State solution and peaceful coexistence, then we'll walk that path with them. So far, the problem is in Ramallah and Gaza City (and Damascus, and Cairo, and Riyadh, and Tehran, and Tripoli, and Beirut, and Tunis.....)
41. If Meretz was in power ALL Jews in Israel would be gassed
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (01.25.13)
Thank Hashem that Meretz only represents a fringe group of extremist in Israel and not Israel. I cannot think of a more blind, naive, dangerous group than Meretz. They never admit they are wrong, even when they are wrong every time. OSLO was a complete failure and they never apologized to Israel.
