4. Jews?
Steve ,   Dallas USA   (01.23.13)
A small number of converts is fine. The Jewish people have always accepted small numbers of sincere converts. However please do not pretend these are descendants of the lost tribes. There is zero evidence of this in their DNA. And large scale "discoveries" of so called third world "Jews", like the Ethiopians, is not healthy for Israel or the Jewish people, who have been relatively homogeneous for over 2000 years.
5. Mazel Tov to the Singsit Family & also to Mirna who is so
Moshe ,   Usa   (01.23.13)
so cute . . . . I wished I had a son to introduce her to.
6. Welcome
Samir ,   old Bnei Brak   (01.23.13)
its nice to see how they use their right to return to Israel, the only democracy in the middle east.... send those fakestinians to jordan, right? to all ynetnews readers: dont you see how much lies are used to have a state called israel? the real indigenous were driven out, attacked and humiliated, while 3rd world immigrants who claim being jewish can "return" palestinians have the wrong religion, right?
7. Kol Ha Kavod
Philippe ,   Raanana   (01.23.13)
Beautiful to read you endured 2000 years of solitude and could keep alive the traditions ! Welcome in Israel ! Long live and hapiness to the mizoram jews
8. #4, Jewishness isn't about racial purity
Naftush ,   Israel   (01.24.13)
Prospective converts are measured in sincerity, not in numbers or racial extraction. As for the Ethiopian Jews, their existence and fidelity has been known for centuries.
9. Bnei Menashe
(01.24.13)
These people have probably never set a foot in Israel before. They arrive here and they are treated like celebs. I have been living here for the past six years, pay my taxes, learnt Hebrew on my own and am involved in the Israeli society and still I am considered like a foreigner everytime I land in Ben Gurion because Israel doesn't want to recognize me as one of hers since I'm not Jewish...
10. Welcome Home!!
Mark David ,   Chicago, IL USA   (01.24.13)
With tears of joy I say, welcome home to Israel. We have also been waiting for over 2700 years and now G-d 's promise is being fulfilled. We are so happy to see people from all over the world coming back to being Jewish. Great job and welcome back!! G-d is great and His promise to our forefathers is coming true!! Kol Hacavod.
11. #9: pathetic. period.
Marvin Strauss ,   Berlin & Germany   (01.24.13)
12. #9 Get a conversion
Rickie ,   Porto Alegre, Brazil   (01.24.13)
Considering that you're not an arab, if you really believe on jewish religion; at the army or university you'll find nice conversion programs and then you'll be a jew and arrived at Ben Gurion as local citzen. If you want something orthodox really tuff, get a bus to Bnei Brak and find a rabi there to help you, otherwise stop to complain and if you're not happy with Israel, settle in another country. Simple, isn't it?
13. #9
JL   (01.24.13)
no ticker tape parade for you when you arrived?...are you sime kind of VIP?..leave if you do not feel welcomed here..no one is forcing you to stay here
14. What is your lineage you texan
Philippe ,   Raanana   (01.24.13)
What is your jewish purity ranking to allow you asking additional exams pf jewishness ? You gd-gd-gd-father was a high priest ? You kept the tumb of King David for 3000 years in your family ? keep cool Steve the texan jew, those guys are coming to Israel to serve their old-new country while you watch TV in your air-con lounge.
15. Delusions
Steve ,   Dallas USA   (01.24.13)
If you think this tribe has been Jewish for 2000 years, even 200 years, you are dreaming. There is no DNA evidence supporting this. If a small number has converted - fine. but please do not be delusional with some tribe of Manasseh talk. And Israel is a first world country - many people would be happy to be declared Jewish to reach such a State. No other first world country allows a self declaration to grant citizenship. It is you who will pay for a third world population in a first world country.
16. Irrelevant Steve - says it all
