1. Enjoy your Knesset seats while you still have them...
Vlad   (01.23.13)
The Jewish majority will soon begin to grow due to a high religious birthrate, rising secular birthrate, increasing aliyah, and a shrinking Arab birthrate. By 2035, Jews could be an 80% majority between the Jordan and Mediterranean. And the vast majority, or at least a lot of Arab youth by then will be of the new generation - assimilated into Israeli society and not into Islamism and Arab nationalism. I don't think there will be any Arab parties in the Knesset eventually.
2. Arabs should NOT have the vote
Jeffrey Rosen ,   Tel Aviv   (01.23.13)
It is a scandal. 22 Arab nations, NONE of them allow Jews to vote. And we have to let Arabs poison 23% of our electorate? This with traitors like Zoabi who called Israel a "racist entity" aided the flotilla for Hamas, and saidc she wished Iran had nukes to stop Israeli aggression? We Israelis are INSANE!
3. #2 the problem is the world's reaction
Vlad   (01.23.13)
If Israel strips Arabs of the vote, then the cries of "apartheid" followed by more boycotts and possible sanctions follow.
4. Sad to see Zoabi and her party are still here
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (01.23.13)
5. Exactly which arab country...!!
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (01.23.13)
Which arab country allows it's own arabs to vote but not the jews? up till recently, majority of arab countries did not even have a democratic election!!
6. The only voting these two should have
Ron ,   OC, USA   (01.23.13)
The only voting privlidge these two should have is with their feet. One way out of the Jewish state.
7. Depriving part of poulation of voting rights is a dumb idea
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.23.13)
Otherwise I'd be the first one to deprive my wife of that privilege:-) ! Had our Jewish citizenry been politically "sane", the Arab sector would've been rendered impotent. (Just like our politicians seem to be at times)
8. There is a reason for a low turnout
Moshico ,   Jerusalem   (01.23.13)
The only reason for a low turnout in the Arab sector is because if they vote they would vote for Bibi because they no whats good for them but if they done that they would put there own lives in danger from their so called other Arab brothers. More Arabs in the government would mean they would not get what they have now equal rights.
9. It is an honor to Israel
Keren Il-BR ,   Israel   (01.23.13)
to have Arab candidates. They stimulate the political debates, bring new ideas, and truly energizes our democracy. Kol-hakavod, chaverim arabim.
10. #9:Wrong, dear "havera"! To have Arabs among any population
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.23.13)
is a calamity. They are a calamity to themselves as well. It's in the Kouran, stupid! Obama Akhbar!
11. Why does this come as any surprise?
Tim ,   Brighton   (01.23.13)
With people like Tubby Tibi and Finger Wagging Zoabi to represenet them - more interested in promoting isolation and exclusion not unity amongst Israeli Arabs - more interested in promoting the State of Palestine than the interests of their constituents inside Israel...no wonder Israeli Arabs feel let down Especially the young..
12. The Arabs made several mistakes including miss opportunities
sam sweiry ,   Eastbourne UK   (01.23.13)
Be realistic - what chance the Arab MP have to topple anyone in Israel - It is all talks - we have to sit and listen - Please - Anyone have cotton to block my ears
13. Jeffrey Rosen no 2
JUDAH THE LION ,   JEWS FIGHT LIKE LION   (01.23.13)
You are right. Any UNLOYAL ISRAELI citizen should not be member of the Kenesset. Unfortunately, Jews never learn from past mistakes.
14. good idea to keep your enemas
HaifaGuy   (01.23.13)
close to chest.
15. Vlad no 3
JUDAH THE LION ,   JEWS FIGHT LIKE LION   (01.23.13)
Sir, what about the Arabs when they strips Jews ? ~Are the Arabs above the law. The whole world are biased against Israel. Whatever Israel do, always wrong. We know what will happen at the end. The whole world will stand against Israel as written.
16. Rami of Nazareth no 5
AL QUDS AL YAHUDI ,   QUDS HAKA ALYAHUD   (01.23.13)
All the Arabs states have kicked out their Jewish citizen. They are the most racist, apartheid nation
17. # 10 to TOM
Keren IL-BR ,   Israel   (01.23.13)
You are wrong and racist. Arabs are good people. When we annex Judea and Samaria we will bring more 2.5 million of them to live among us, as full citizens, sharing the State with us. That's why I voted Likud. People like you are changing the perception of the Arab sector. They are voting, they are participating, they are sharing the burden with us. I feel so good to have so many Arabs among us... it is a blessing.
18. #10 tom
Vlad   (01.23.13)
This Keren is obviously an imposter of the real Keren. Looks like Sarah's imposter is finding a new target.
19. Racism is a card used to cover their own racism.
Joe   (01.23.13)
When crying racism please look at your own record...in Arabic . Hypocritical to say the least. Try racism in Syria.......or Saudi...or the UK...
20. You are correct
Rami ,   New York, USA   (01.23.13)
Some Arab countries don't even allow Jews to live or visit them.
21. So, Bibi survived it!
Tony ,   Nigeria   (01.23.13)
So, Bibi survived the deadly covert onslaught, even at the dying minute from Washington? The ALMIGHTY GOD be praised. CONGRATULATIONS BIBI
22. Same for the Jewish parties! Eldad, Ben Ari, Amshalem
hippocrates ,   earth   (01.23.13)
If they combined they would in the knesset, with 110k votes; maybe 3-4 seats since people would see them as more viable
23. Greater Israel!!
Sam T. ,   montreal   (01.23.13)
"Tibi: We could have toppled Netanyahu" Could have - would have - should have. But didn't. The only way Tibi can now help is to go home & make babies.- if she could.
24. Reason for low turnout
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (01.23.13)
Majority in the arabic population is disappointed in the current israeli parties, be them jewish, arabic or mixed. None of them brought about equality and integration into the Israeli society. For decades majority of arabs voted for jewish parties, it did not bring about change. Later many voted for arabic parties still no different. Repeated disappointment and frustration brought about a low turnout.
25. Could Have Would Have, Should Have
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (01.23.13)
It's the Araba mantra. They could have done lots of things but as usual, do nothing.
26. #24 Rami, Arabs should vote for Meretz
Yossef   (01.23.13)
27. THEY NEVER FAIL TO MISS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FAIL
Adam Balm ,   ATLANTA GA USA   (01.23.13)
THAT'S BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BE IN A DEMOCRACY WHEN YOU WANT TO KILL EXTERMINATE DESTROY THE REST OF SOCIETY THAT YOU LIVE IN THAT PROTECTS YOU. Go to Iran where your ilk goes to prison for life, or they just hang you for the hell of it.
28. "We could have toppled Netanyahu", won the election
Jewish Doctor ,   AMERICA THE BEAUTIUL   (01.23.13)
and if frogs can fly, you could be the next PM... take the needle out of your arm. Besides a make believe state, there is always your make believe election win.
29. #17 arabs aren't racists?
Yosi ,   Gilo-Jerusalem   (01.23.13)
Are you joking or ignorant of facts. So you ignore that they want to kill us all and take over the land? 2.5 Million arabs? Hey, you can't count the chickens, dogs, cats and mice too.
30. #24. Rami I concur with so much that you say
Tim ,   Brighton   (01.23.13)
Israel is more diverse a country than probably anywhere in the world and thats what makes it so special Wether its Jews from South America or Syria...Arabs, Beduin, Bahai, Christian, Secular,,,they all live in this one tiny space as a vibrant free democracy...where no one is above the law Of course there are tensions, inequalities, problems in Israeli Society but its not only between Arabs and Jews, its between Rich and Poor, Secular and Orthodox, Gay and Straight...but despite that Israel remains free and democratic and moreover gains its strength and stability from that very diversity But politicians and religious leaders must do more to promote brotherhood and unity of purpose, common values and most important pride in being Israeli whatever the religion or background PS Rami...Thought of running for the Knesset?
