Taking in all parties to the right of Likud, including all 3 Arab parties, gets all of 60 votes. You cant form a government on that. I can only think that she'd be willing to buy Shas - easy enough to do by agreeing to not enlist haradim.

No matter how much she wants to be in the government, no matter how much more Lapid would be inclined to join the government with her than without-- it would be very advisable to keep Livni out. The party that she assembled this time was well to the left of Labor-- she managed to enlist only the most leftist ex-Labor MK's to her side, and reached a vote-sharing agreement with Meretz-- and she has a stronger commitment than anyone else on the leftist front to produce a diplomatic arrangement that would lead the country to ruin. She has proven herself a horrible mediator with the country's enemies, and were she to be included in the government, returning to that task would undoubtedly be her agenda, and her whole "party" would be pushing her in that direction even if she were disinclined. Keep her out, and let her meet the political extinction she deserves. Kadima, even with only 2 votes, could on the other hand be useful.

In the last election 2009 there was opportunity to create a three party coalition, LIKUD, ISRAEL BEITAINU and KADIMA. Livni was the one who refused which forced Netanyahu to create small parties coalition. This was obviously against the interests of Israel and the interests of Kadima which ego centric self serving Livni destroyed. Yachimovich follows the same pattern as Livni: a personal hate for Netanyahu regardless of the benefit of a unity government means to Israel future. Listening to Yachimovitz I hear Livni speak. It is time for Yachimovitch to mature, be pragmatic and join Netanyahu in a unity government.

Join Yesh Atid in grand bargain, Netanyahu controls security and peace process and they control social agenda. This way Netanyahu can build a government not hostage to the religious extreme. Otherwise, Netanyahu should pass on PM and let Lapid or Yacimovitch take on the impossible task of building a coalition. Habayit hayehudi needs to Pospone Settlement expansion till 2015 to concentrate on Iran and closing the social gap and allowing a better deal for moderate Arabs .The security of Eretz Yisroel ought to be in Jewish hands.The Arabs don't need a State yet they need help the Jews prevent a nuclear exchange which will cause the area to be uninhabitable .The right of return has to be Postponed as Millions of Palestinians in Hafa and Jaffa will be Killed by the mad Mullahs of Irans nuclear and Chemical weapons.

Lapid should not be tempted to join Netanyahu. If he holds out he will be PM soon enough. The world has had enough of Bibi and he knows that he has to take on another face and it cannot be a face from the right. He will try to reinvent himself at the expense of Lapid
