Now that you have had your say, can you deny that my description of history was incorrect? Are you able to deny that France (the French army command) framed an innocent Jewish officefr named Dreyfuss because he was Jewish? Can you deny that the French govt. cooperated with the nazis and helped to roundup, detain under inhumane conditions, and deport even little children to the death camps? Can you deny that many Jews in France have been physically attacked and that the poll showing 40% of the French have antisemitic beliefs? If you deny these FACTS, then you are either living in a fantasy world and totally in denial or just plain ignorant. Obviously, all French people are not antisemitic just like not all Germans in nazi Germany approved of the extermination of Jews. The problem is that with France's long history of antisemitism and a continuing of these violent attitudes against Jews, France has no reason to be proud and Jews have no reason to be counting on France to help them.
