The mosques architecture that you see everywhere in the world is an invention of the Persian Engineering! The Arabs & Muslims did not come up with it! The concept is based on the Zoroastrian Customs. Before Islam the Persians had built many Fire Temple as symbols of light of the good lord Ahura Mazda. They had 2 Towers for the keeprs of the fire which supervised it constantly. The 2 mineret are actually the 2 fire-keepers towers and the dome in the fire/fire place. When they invaded Persia they did not allow the Persians to practice their faiths/culture. That is how mosques cam about. The arabs instead buried their military leaders and Immams and forced the persians instead of keeping the sacred fire (light) of the good lord, to worship their leaders.

Europe is flooded with millions of Turkish immigrants, 99.999% of them are Muslim and hold only an average education. For years they have been pushing for prominence in their host country, demanding a cultural autonomy from the govt, despite being a guest worker minority. I saw this in Switzerland and in Germany. In Essen (Germany) it wasn't even safe to walk the streets at night because of the brazen Turkish population there. My guess is this reaction about a toy in really part of the larger muscle flexing of Turks in Europe - in this case, the country of Austria, and that we'll see more of it in the future. Their claim that this toy also resembles a "Muslim symbol" in reflective in their myopic belief of Islamic Supremacy and the view that Turkey is a Muslim country, despite having a history and population of Christians.

Secular/moderate religion is good for morale and society. Note: I say that even though not being religious myself. If I got to chose between living among moderate religious and atheists, I'd take the moderate religious. By my own observation slightly religious people tend to be friendlier and less arrogant.
