The name of the Iranian spacecraft has been recorded as Pishtam. The correct word is Pishtaz, and it means 'pioneer, not explorer. Thank you.

I am sorry. It appears that contrary to my previous comment, the name of the Iranian spacecraft is Pishgam, meaning 'first in line'. Thank you.

Yeah? Can you give some examples of cutting edge Iranian technology? And .... seriously now .... what do you think would happen to Iran were Israel to send along some ELF waves to that terribly earthquake prone region? Just a little softening up, drop somethings considerably more lethal, and Iran disappears in a mushroom cloud. You're just being stupid. Without Jewish know-how, Jewish preternatural abilities in mathematics and science, the United States would probably still be looking to build a nuclear arsenal. And since you have NO idea what Israel has in its arsenal -- perhaps you should refrain from commenting.

I suspect the monkey wanted to leave and was dissapointed when he discovered it was a round trip.
35. Their monkeys rule the country as well.
Dr Pupik ,   Baltimore   (01.28.13)
Isnt it obvious? I think they sent Ahmedinijad's son. Looks same.
36. A monkey of a weight of 288Kg
deavman ,   Acco, Israel   (01.29.13)
Nobody seems to notice that there is no such animal and surely, a payload of almost 300 kilos for such a small missile is preposterous. I would have to assume that it was meant to be 28 kg and even that is impossible as the video mentionned a rhesus monkey which weighs around 6-7 Kg...
37. To Sarah B, USA/Israel, at nr. 23.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn NH, Holland   (01.29.13)
I think that you gave a very good reaction to nr. 23.
38. THAT WAS THE PLAN.....................#12
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (01.30.13)
Iranians had never intended to send the monkey into orbit.................it's too bad that you tend to twist the story. The Iranians are achieving their goals, however.
39. Your Editorial Bias is Showing
Sheogorath ,   New Sheoth, The Shivering Isles   (02.01.13)
Did you guys not see the images of the monkeys? That's right, monkeys, plural. Now I'm no expert on the effects of outer space on mammals, but I know for a fact that they don't cause birthmarks to disappear, fur to darken, or the underlying structure of nasal bones to change fundamentally.
