1. 75 men asked for a 2nd wife?!
Ploni ,   Israel   (01.29.13)
"alongside 75 requests to take a second wife" JPost didnt care to let us know if any of those were approved?
2. Marriage, why buy a book when you can join the library?
Yoni ,   Hertzaliya   (01.29.13)
An outdated instutution at the very least
3. When people don t know how ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.29.13)
to comunicate, there is no other option than separation. In an argument we MUST listen what the other has to say, repeat what he said ,to show that we care, and then only give our version. There are many techniques that should be taught at school. Humane relations is certainly as important,if not more, than some other studies. Such a small country and so many divorces ! There is surely something to do about it.
4. Marriage is an outdated institution
Gregg ,   Umbria Italy   (01.29.13)
That belongs to history books... As does religion!
5. Hungary's divorce rate
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (01.29.13)
is 45%. Be satisfied with Israel and do not defame it !
6. Abuse of men by the Family Court
Joel Benjamin ,   Jerusalem   (01.30.13)
Yet another biased report on what happens in divorce in Israel. Where is the report about how six times as many men in Israel than in US must visit their children in a "merkaz kesher." Of the bias fo the Family Court against men. Of how the Family Law that created the Family Law in 1995 allows for-under the law- for judges to disregard the need for any actual evidence to find a man guilty. The media's refusal to deal with the radical feminist lobby and their allies in the Social Affairs ministry and judges in family courts is the real tragedy here- not a few hundred woman who have been defined a divorce. One would expect Ynet to be objective in its reporting- and stop acting like a paid agent of the radical feminist lobby.
7. high cost of living !
Aviva ,   Israeli   (01.30.13)
Everything is unbelievable expensive and this is one of the main reasons.
8. #6 that's all changing
Vlad   (01.31.13)
The Tender Years' Clause was struck down in favor of mandatory joint custody last year, and MK Eli Ben-Dahan has said he's going to try to fix bias against men with new legislation in the upcoming Knesset. Meanwhile, Moshe Kahlon, who did everything possible as Minister of Welfare to keep the visitation centers in operation, is now leading the Israel Lands Authority.

Ora, communication starts at home. Mothers talk to their young babies. Mothers talk to their children. Wives talk to their husbands & vice versa. Children learn to interact from their parents & then from the outside (of the home) world. If one has a problem in communicating, professional help is available. There are many reasons why the divorce rate in tiny Israel is so high. The main reason being that we are raised with the idea to marry & ''produce'' at far too young an age.
10. The femi-divorcers
Mario   (01.31.13)
Destroying families, destroying the west, the baby-murdering women are on a rampage. It's not the men who are doing this Tali Schmali.
11. 9 Birdi If children could learn at home
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.31.13)
how to comunicate and negotiate ,it would not be necessary to teach that at school.Sadly this is not the case .Many parents quarrel all the time,or don t take the time to listen to their children. Birdi, why is producing a reason for divorce?
12. # 11
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.31.13)
Parents should not quarrel in front of their children. If parents dont get along they should seek professional help. Producing is not a reason for divorce. Pardon me, I expressed myself wrongly. Marrying at a young age,can lead to divorce.

Have you ever heard of unprotected sex?
14. Are figures related to the size of population?
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (04.15.13)
Is the article giving raw figures of how many divorces in each town, or have the figures been adjusted to take into account the size of population? Obviously the raw figures will show more divorces in big cities, but possibly a smaller % than those with smaller raw numbers.
15. not a real problem
shlomo levi   (08.22.19)
