''We cannot go around bombing who we like because they are doing things we don't like.'' The ''rocket science'' here is, Israel protected her citizens this morning by the bombing. ( Why should you be concerned, you are not living anywhere in or near Israel) You just don't ''get it" & you never will.
62. #16 - must be why Arabs/Muslims have equal rights in IL
William ,   Israel   (01.31.13)
despite acting both politically and seditiously against the Jewish State and its majority population. When Hizbullah rains rockets down in Israel, it isn't their Arab neighbors Israeli Arabs cry for, but for the Jewish soldiers, the Jewish doctors, and the Jewish politicians to save their lives. In other parts of the world, Arabs just bring the response of Russian upon themselves.
63. Russian involvement--how far?
Fred ,   Mandan USA   (01.31.13)
I think the big question is whether or not Syria is Russia's line in the sand. How far is Putin willing to go to save Assad? How much will Russia do to stop Syria from falling? There have been unconfirmed reports from Debka and others that Russian Iskander missiles have been offloaded to Syria. It is apparent that Russia is not too keen about what is happening in Syria. Will they back down or make a stand with Assad? The bottom line isthat we don't know for sure, but certainly this situation could lead to major escalations and regional war.
64. #19 - pretty brazen, huh?
William ,   Israel   (01.31.13)
But you and I both know that Russia won't attack Israel. Iran won't attack Israel. Saudi Arabia hates Syria. China is just dealing with their own issues and won't attack Israel. and Egypt isn't in any position to attack Israel. Considering the pending fall of Assad and the itchiness of Hizbullah to launch another attack on Israel, I think the IDF's actions were both prudent and warranted. And it wasn't a surprise. Israel made their redlines known long ago.
65. not our business
Vansig ,   Pittsburgh, USA   (01.31.13)
Let them solve their own problems, keep the US Out of it
66. Did Allah turn Lavrov into a monkey?
Mario   (01.31.13)
It certainly sounds like it, a stupid stupid monkey with a huge arsenal of nuclear rockets.
67.  Last I heard Russia is still occupying Georgia, right?
Deal ,   Texas   (01.31.13)
Exactly! Russia is no country to be condemning others for what she, herself, is guilty of.
68. 19 SpyPutz- Is Russia
Stephen in New York   (01.31.13)
willing to bleed for Assad? Is Russia willing to be embarrassed for the Alawites?
69. More poop from Russia.
Brad ,   USA   (01.31.13)
The Russians had better let it be, and shut up. They can't afford to attack Israel because they won't be able to deal with Israel's response.
70. Sad!
Dan Dietz ,   USA   (02.01.13)
Typical Zionist, Justifying their violence by any means possible. Every time i hear them call someone else a terrorist i think back to the old saying of "The pot calling the kettle black"
71. Russia says attack "unacceptable"
Mark ,   USA   (02.01.13)
Israel has been bombed on a daily basis for years by Hezbollah and whoever else and she is supposed to sit back and take it? Israel is not allowed to make pre-emptive strikes for her own defense? I can tell you that if we in the USA were subjected to missile strikes like that daily by Mexico we'd very certainly take strong and quite effective pre-emptive measures to prevent such attacks, regardless of their border. If the attacks kept coming we'd very likely destroy that country in a matter of days. I think we all know very well what the Russians would do if they were attacked like that. The Russian response would likely be even more harsh than either Israel or the USA would provide.
72. #67 Deal: Not only that!
Tom W ,   USA   (02.01.13)
It gobbled up the old German city, Konigsberg - (now Kaliningrad) which is disconnected geographically from mainland Russia. Some Japanese islands are also Russian "properties".
