1. Two Things:

1. Both the US and Israel take extreme caution when removing a threat via bombing run. They make sure to double and triple check their targets, so if they say it was a convoy of weapons, then it was a convoy of weapons. 2. I read that Israel had warned Hezbollah already about trafficking weapons to Lebanon. This convoy was not the first shipment they have received and I also read that Hezbollah has been hiding missiles throughout their cities. I don't understand how a rational person can be upset when Israel moves to protect their military, government and citizens? They already warned Hez NOT to get involved with Syria's mess.
2. GOOD FOR ISRAEL!!
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (01.31.13)
Attack anything that is a threat to Israel. So very proud of Israel. While others murmur she takes care of business. I'm lovin' this. Israel makes fools of her enemies. G-ds richest blessings on His chosen. Mazel Tov!!!

"I don't understand how a rational person can be upset when Israel moves"? Who said they were rational???
4. If Israel did attack the convoy........
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (01.31.13)
...it's likely that it was only because it was necessary to do so. Russia can whinge but it would most likely have done the same thing itself.

7. Israel Should Keep Up the Pressure on Terrorist
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (01.31.13)
Israel is surrounded by ruthless, immoral, blood thirsty, death seeking enemies and must act accordingly. These air strikes should be occurring daily against terrorist targets in Lebanon and Syria. Israel should not let it's enemies rest.
8. Battle of Survival
Brod ,   USA   (01.31.13)
Israel must finish the job and not worry about the BS of other countries. In the Battle of Survival, Israel must do everything to defend itself against WMDs.
9. American AA missiles are a bigger threat
Zionist forever   (01.31.13)
The SA17 is trailer launched system and an easy target but Obama gave Turkey permission to give American made Stinger AA missiles and those are man portable So you don't even know it is there until its about to shoot you down. Congress would not grant Obama to give them so he want through the back door and got Turkey to give them and these things can end up in the hands of any terror group because the FSA isn't a proper militiary withan inventory and weapons are only given to those who need them. If a passenger or military net is shot down by terrorists one day then Obama & Erdogan are to blame. As for yesterday's operation atl Syria has fewer AA to use if eventually somebody decides to attack the WMD sites.

Actually, the United States is trying to save face. The fact of the matter is that, given the current occupant of the White House, Israel acts first, informs later. We don't need anyone's permission to act in the best interests of Israel, least of all that of the Moslem-in-Chief. And if it happens to also benefit civilization -- such as stopping Iran's nuclear program and taking out a chemical weapons plant in unstable Syria -- well, we're just going to go ahead and do that. Do you have a problem with that? Too bad for you.

William ,   Israel   (01.31.13)
and won't be sending troops if Israel's existence was in jeopardy. Like any sovereign nation, Israel will do what's necessary to protect herself. The update to the US is a matter of respect.

A fanatic is inurred to facts yet: NYT 10/9/12:"US Military Is Sent to Jordan ." US military has secretly sent a task force of more than 150.. prepare for the possibility that "Syria will lose control of its chemical weapons..". Despite false belief that we are happily going it alone the Obama administration has worked through the NSA to coordinate many facets of cooperation. Your 'facts' consist of no more than a zealot's attitude. Try an occasional citation.
14. You damn right they promptly called DC, #5
Cameron ,   USA   (02.01.13)
There will be no jeopardizing of the flow of vital US weaponry, not to mention the US financing of the Iron Dome defense. They are spooked enough facing another 4 years of Obama, and his intent of reining them in. Yes, they made the usual required call to DC to explain & cover their ass.

Call was made after the fact, babe. Israel no longer feels the need to inform United States administrations in advance of IDF and IAF operations. Sorry.
