Alan ,   Canada   (02.03.13)
34. Turkey's rulers are obsessed with being anti-Israel
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (02.03.13)
Unbelievable, how silly and stupid can Erdogan be ? Just when you think Erdogan and his cronies have run of silly and ridiculous statements, Erdogan keeps getting worse, and even more stupid and more silly comments come out of his mouth. .
35. What is the difference between Israel and Turkey
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (02.03.13)
Israel used her own military to attack Syrian threat of passing arms to Israel's enemies. Intention is self defense. Turkey has been supplying arms to the Syrian rebels who are in a bloody war that has killed thousands in Syria. Turkey is hosting the rebels' headquarters in its soil while Syria is not a direct threat to Turkey. Mr. Erdogan is the master of hypocrisy.
36. Turkey never forgive
Zechariah   (02.03.13)
For Armenian genocide Blocking Jewish escape Europe 1933 -1943 .Was near.Killing Kurds .Long live Kurdistan.
37. History and Israel
ltrail ,   United States   (02.03.13)
Au contraire, PM Erdogan. History applauds what Israel has done to protect the region. And even Israel's Arab neighbors rest more easily because of the destruction of Syria's biological weapons center. All of the nations who have joined the Arab League, should slam Syria and demand that Bashar Assad be removed. Assad has been killing his own people for nigh unto two years. Evil people like Assad, will not win, at the end.
38. Well, he certainly gives Israel more weight than Syria.
nibor ,   israel   (02.03.13)
Syria has killed thousands of it's own citizens, and Israel has prevented a convoy of chemical weapons from falling into the hands of Hizbullah. The world probably won't forgive Israel for having people who survived the Holocaust. But in that case, who cares?
39. Why did Israel feel the need to attack the convoy of arms?
exUK ,   Tel Aviv   (02.03.13)
I'm sure that Israel felt that it had no choice but to do so,because ,had the weapons gone into Lebanon,Hezbollah would be able to use them against Israel. There are ,perhaps not only missiles, but chemical and biological substances to consider. If biological weapons are involved,in this small area, they may be lethal ,not only to Jews in Israel, but to Syria,Lebanon, and all races and religions. That is why,if Assad is not able to guarantee their safety, someone must step in and safeguard them from who knows what. .There are so many unknowns, and factions in Syria,it would have been prudent for Assad to have asked for international help and to have made a public statement. asking for help.Alas, there are people we cannot even identify, who are unaware of how dangerous this stuff is.So Israel needed to protect its own citizens from possible harm in the future,Surely Assad really knows this deep down.Anyone else in Israel's position would have done the same thing.
40. Erdogan: History will not forgive Israel
Jeff ,   London. UK   (02.03.13)
Israel is not looking to be forgiven , they just want to defend themselves. I like to ask Erdogan: , will history forgive the Ottermans for the Armenian Genocide and the killings of the Kurdish people they are doing now
41. #24 Moshe
Zeev Erez ,   London   (02.03.13)
Do not include Turkey in your comment. You must be ignorant of the fact that The Ottoman Empire received with open arms the Spanish Jews who were booted out of Spain and Portugal in the 1500's, gave them citizenship with full rights, dignity and a climate to flourish, and which they did. Today's attitudes can not erase this humanitarian chapter from history.

DavidR ,   USA   (02.03.13)
After reading all 35 talkbacks, I observed that there was not even ONE that spoke in favor of Erdogen! Those included talkbacks from France, Egypt, England, Israel, US, Switzerland, Norway, Vienna, Holland and Canada! It seems ErDogan has already been judged while Israel received 100% support! Who needs history ErDogan?
44. #1 Turkey is a part of NATO

49. Erdogan is right

Israel must be brought to account for defying Syrian and Lebanese airspace, and lets never forget the assassinations on the Mavi Mavara.
50. Erdogan & Davutoglu are poison. Look at what they are...
Rafi ,   US   (02.03.13)
.... calling for and goading Assad to do: full WAR between Syria and Israel! Is this responsible behavior in this volatile region? Apparently they believe that scenario to be advantageous to Turkey... or - more likely - to their own rule. These criminal demagogues should fully censored by the US and EU.
51. No, history will not forgive you
NIgel ,   London   (02.03.13)
When the bllod has stopped flowing in Syria, surely history will look at its neighbours and ask what you did to stop the killings. Israel's act was one of defending its citizens. Turkey's rhetoric and war mongering does lead me to question how on earth they can be part of NATO ?
52. Nato deceived
RobE ,   Beringen Belgium   (02.03.13)
Therefore, needed Erdogan the anti-missile system from NATO, not to protect themselves against Syria. No, it was being prepared to protect themselves against Israel, therefore such a war talked of this quack Erdogan. Here we see that the Nato deceived.

55. History will never forget
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (02.03.13)
for Turkey, the murdering of 750 jewish refugees of the Struma ship.
56. History
allan ,   Brooklyn NY   (02.03.13)
The SS Struma was a ship chartered to carry Jewish refugees from Axis-allied Romania to British-controlled Palestine during World War II. The engine gave out several times after the Struma set sail from Constanţa, on the Black Sea on 12 December 1941 and it was towed to Istanbul on 15 December 1941. On February 23, 1942, with its engine inoperable and its refugee passengers aboard, Turkish authorities towed the ship from Istanbul harbor through the Bosphorus out to the coast of Şile in North Istanbul. Within hours, in the morning of February 24, it was torpedoed and sunk by the Soviet submarine Shch 213, killing 768 men, women and children, with only one survivor, a 19 year old man, making it the largest exclusively civilian naval disaster of the war in the Black Sea.[1] The Struma sinking, along with the Patria disaster which preceded it, became a rallying point for the Irgun and LEHI Jewish underground movements, encouraging their violent revolt against the British presence in Palestine.[2][3]
57. 1 day the Turks will come united with Russia against Israel
Galut ia ,   selah   (02.03.13)

58. Islamic tradition-Enemy of my Enemy is not my friend
Galut ia ,   selah   (02.03.13)
even if the things Israel does benefits the Turks . they see it as interfering with an internal Islamic squabble.... Israel is on her own till the Lord intervenes ...
59. @51
Galut ia ,   selah   (02.03.13)
Turkey is starting to shift away from Europe and NATO - read a recent article where it said turkey was warming up to an alliance with Russia ...Just like how the Book of Books said it would be in the time of the End ....
60. Turkey
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (02.03.13)
Turkey, a member of NATO, has been conducting a genocide of the Kurds for years. Turkey has Killed Turkish Kurds in Turkey, just as Syria has killed Syrians, Libya has killed Libyans, Sudan has killed Sudanese, Yemen has killed Yemeni. Turkey has bombed Iraqi Kurds in Iraq, and has even invaded Iraq to attack them. The Kurds have no army or air force with which they can protect themselves. But, the US, the UN, Europe and NATO have all been silent concerning the ongoing genocide. Neither humanitarian nor military aid have flowed to the Kurds. However, the US and NATO have provided weapons to Turkey to protect Turkey from attacks by Syria. There is a large Kurdish population in Syria, which Turkey would undoubtedly like to eliminate. Clearly, a genocide of the Kurds is considered tolerable. If a genocide of the Kurds is tolerable, what would the attitude be toward another Holocaust? Perhaps, in response to Erdogan, Israel might consider sending humanitarian aid to the Kurds. In fact, Israel should consider recognizing the Kurds in Turkey, Iraq and Syria as a nation, and should give them an embassy in Israel, just as those countries have done with the Palestinians.
