1. a beautiful operation
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (02.04.13)
israel took out in the syrian murder machine of chemical and biological weapons with no effort and no losses to the iaf. the preperations to carry out this operation must have been long, precise and arduous, involving all services. israel has once again done the craven west an enormous service, just as was the case when israel took out iraq's nuclear reactor and syria's nuclear reactor. all of these operations were without loss to the iaf and without civilian casualties to the enemies.
2. Two things
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.04.13)
1. Israel did not inform the United States of the impending operation. The United States was informed after the fact. What you see here is the United States scrambling to save face, and Israel chuckling and allowing it to happen. It was important -- and necessary -- for Israel to send the message that it will act in its own interests first, and that it does not need to seek "permission" from anyone beforehand. 2. The fact of the matter is that Israel blinded Syrian (Russian) radar and anti-aircraft defenses, which are manned by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. They never saw or knew a thing until the first missile was unleashed. That message was designed specifically for Iran and I can assure you that was received in Teheran with a great deal of shock and dismay. Not to mention considerable surprise -- and fear. As well it should. The Iranians have been put on notice. Fordo was part one of the message; the strike in Syria was part two. There's more to come. And the international community has also been put on notice -- Israel will not telegraph its intent in advance. But we will be nice, and we will even inform foreign governments after the fact -- if we feel like it.

Precisely. It's a tiresome job, saving civilization, but Israel is willing to do it. While the rest of the international community wrings its hands and convenes "conferences," Israel actually goes out and does something. I suppose it is too much to expect, but a short expression of gratitude from the international community would make me feel so much better that it is Israeli lives at stake in the process of fixing the mistakes of others.
4. Syria Strike
Steven ,   JHB South Africa   (02.04.13)
Well done Israel and the IDF. With Hashem's blessings Israel is untouchable.
5. Hit them Again and Again
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (02.04.13)
Israel does not have the luxury to wait around till our many enemies have enough chemical weapons, nukes, rockets, missiles, suicide bombers to destroy our nation. Israel must act to defend itself and to do so Israel must be proactive.

i do not expect any gratitude. it will not be forthcoming. all i want is that they keep quiet and let israel do the job quietly without interference from the euros and the americans.

Oh, I know that no gratitude will be forthcoming. And Israel will do the job. I just hate the thought that Israel undertakes all the risk -- and undergoes all the criticism. That is monumentally unjust.
8. The world owes us a debt of gratitude!

10.  North Korea WMD cooperation
Stephen in New York   (02.04.13)
Those who rule in North Korea should keep in mind that nuclear weapons can fly in both directions. Nobody in Pyongyang -or anywhere else in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea- is immune.
11. Cipora 1-The pattern seems to be
Stephen in New York   (02.04.13)
The pattern seems to be that the world condemns Israeli “recklessness” right after a WMD site is destroyed, but with the wisdom of time, comes to appreciate Israeli foresight and determination.

i have not heard any appreaciation from the world about previous israeli actions, with rare exceptions. persoanlly, i do not care, as long as we have the means to defend ourselves. i saw that people are still gossiping about me.

I sent your regards to Stephen and 4 or 5 people noticed and sent me messages about you, mostly that they miss you. I can tell you who, if you wish. I'm not aware of any gossip except the last email I got was from someone unfamiliar and odd.
