Jews excel in arts, science, business, law, medicine, high tech and on and on. However, when it comes to basic survival instincts, many Jews have all the brains of lemmings or do do birds. Unbelievable!

First of all Vienna wasn't Hitler's favourite city: He hated it! If you'd know the first thing about history, you'd know that. Second, he was not born in Vienna, but in Upper Austria very close to the border. Austria even stripped him of his citizenship at one point because he didnt obey draft orders in the first world war. That left aside we all know the role Austrians played in the Holocaust. We all know that there are antisemites and antisemitic sentiments in Austria, as everywhere else. Yet you cannot even remotely compare the situation with Hungary. Just a few examples: In 2011 Vienna hosted the European Maccabi Games... What an antisemitic thing to do, right? Or not? In Vienna you'll find places such as the Tel Aviv beach, many Israeli cuisine venues (such as Neni etc) and so on. Obviously that won't convince anyone here. Because you guys, already "know" better. Even though most here live outside Israel too, you spread your propaganda about every place except Israel being so antisemitic and racist (I don't mean to imply that there isnt antisemitism and racism out there, but its not on the everyday agenda of every single non-jewish person, as some of you make us believe)

Austria is a very anti-semitic country. I used to work there for several years. But NOT because of the Austrians (95% of them don't have any problem with Jews), but in fact much more because of the massive amount of Muslim immigrants. 6-7% of Austria's total population is already Muslim and in the schools in larger towns like Vienna they represant over 30% or even more. This development can be seen in every single Western European country. Other than in countries like Hungary, Greece or Ukraine the reason for anti-semitism is definitely not neo-nazism! Most people (especially politicians) deny and ignore this fact, but I am very certain that in the future this will only get worse as their fertility rate is higher than the native's one.

That Austria was the birthplace of Hitler, and that antisemitism is rampant. You guys elected a former Nazi as President for crying out loud!!! Even today there are resort hotels where Jews are officially banned from the premises and engage in racial profiling to weed them out. I wonder why they aren't going to Israel. First off, there is conscription in Austria too and they deploy their army abroad on NATO missions, so avoiding the army can't be too much of a reason. Hebrew is easier to learn than German, Jewish life is easier in Israel than anywhere else, and they'll be living under no antisemitism as compared to a little less antisemitism than in Hungary.

It is hard to believe that one can be that naive to move from one dark hole to the next one. Have these people ever heard of the holocast or the long dark history for the Jews in Europe. There is no shame in these people to move to a place were 80% of the people are anti-semitic and not even consider coming to their true home Israel. You think there is something wrong with the Jewish community of Vienna because the father, who had the backing of his own family and the community (according to one article) was awarded custody? What do you really know about this case other than one-sided U-Tube advocacy on behalf of the mother? In cases of child custody, you must, absolutely, be aware of both sides of the situation and in detail before rendering an authentic opinion. Only an independent professional such as a mediator, a psychologist, social worker or "Friend of the Court" lawyer is in that position along with a judge or judges. And, furthermore, your directive about the Austrian Jewish community is really out of place following this particular article, further rendering your opinion and the advocacy campaign on behalf of the mother disputable if not problematic.

There is not so much freedom and dignity in Israel as you think. It is difficult to live the day in Israel. The poor in Israel have a very hard time. The holocaust survivors that live in Israel are not respected.

I am happy that you wrote this. There exist racism in Israel between the Jews from different parts of the world. It is not easy to be in Israel and not everyone fits to live there. Not to forget that Hungary was a communist dictator country after the WWII. The transfer to pure capitalist country results in poverty and other problems which creates groups like jobbik.

I wonder where you have been working and when? The last 30 years I have never seen antisemitism in Austria. Well you point with your finger at the Muslims (mainly Turkish). Your information is corrupted, as i.e. Vienna has a Muslim population of 100,000 out of 1,800,000 - Man, that maths, it doesn't make 30% - you are just guessing. Islam is an official religion in Austria more than 100 years (since Bosnia joined the k.u.k Empire); Judaism was accepted much longer. Thus Austria has a tradition in dealing with multi-culturalism. Unlike in Germany, France, Denmark, the Netherlands there is no such thing like suburban Muslim ghettos, or fights on the street. Baruch haSh'm society still works in Austria - there are changes going on, a growing number of Muslims exist, yes. But I am hopeful that with good integration and wealth, we will have here a more tolerant "European Islam" which could work as a catalysator for the rest of the Muslim world(?).

As a member of the jewish community here in >Vienna I really feel insulted by this unnecessary posting. If the mother really wants the best for her kids, she should protect them from the public, and not put names and pictures in the media and on the internet. If the austrian court gives custody to the father, they know why, and so does the majority of the kehilla here. Everybody is free to come here, and everybody who does not like it here can leave. and just to let you know, this post comes without names, as the mother is mobbing people who are not on her side.
