There are explicit provisions for the ethnic and religious character of those states. An America style constitution applied to an ethnic nation state is a sure failure for that would eradicate the ethnic character. Do you want to destroy Israel as an ethnic nation state and turn Israel into a multi-cultural country for every ethnicity and religion? Well that could explain why you want to eradicate the Jewish national identity of Israel but neither I nor 6 million Jews in Israel will approve of that. And since you don't live in Israel and apparently you don't seem to like your own people and country (Israel) I suggest you keep your deluded ideas to yourself. If that's how you want to live your personal life - fine, but don't enforce your opinions on 6 million Jews/Israelis in Israel The US Constitution is definitely admirable but to suggest that you speak for all Jews and all Jews must think like you is quite arrogant. Has Israel been destroyed? The writers of the US constitution are irrelevant in this case, because they were no Jews and they had no national Jewish homeland in mind - therefore your example is completely irrelevant. Who cares really what the US constitution says? Please explain in detail how my suggestion is "twisting" and "turning". Why is it not logically possible to protect and guarantee Judaism as a state religion but provide a clause that forbids is enforcement on people?

As for the Haredim: again, Torah can continue to be most central, but they must become fully men. When scholarship is the ONLY thing valued within a society, then the society is out of balance. When others only take then they become robbers, thus violating Torah commandments. Thry become a society of thieves is in opposition to Torah. Man was told by Hashem "to guard and to tend" by their own hands, not through the theft of the work of other men's hands. The insular society of the Haredim is not allowing for the obedience of the whole man to Torah, and have locked men into slavery of collective theft. They can be shown that social value includes more than "study." We must set them free to be truly obedient.
