2. once you give up your settler title, they drop violence
observer ,   Egypt   (02.10.13)
3. tripartite conflict, how come?
observer ,   Egypt   (02.10.13)
quoted, "Clashes soon erupted between the settlers, security forces and residents of the village of Azoun". or was it a staged conflict in which settlers and security played on one same side role?
4. Settlers must develop
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (02.10.13)
a new type of weapon industry. Automatic slingshot, with one kilo stones.
5. they're not bloody "settlers" &this is not Wild West! They're
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.10.13)
Israeli citizens on Israeli soil.
6. Dangerous situation
Keren IL-BR ,   Karnei Shomron   (02.10.13)
I have been victim of stones many times. It is becoming dangerous to live in K-S after so many attacks and violence. Every trip is like an adventure. When will the authorities take the right measures to protect us?
7. Where is Bennet?
Vlad ,   Jerusalem   (02.10.13)
Many settlers voted for him. But after the elections he changed drastically his priorities. Now he joined the ranks with the anti-settler politician Yair Lapid and attacks SHAS. Defense of the settlements is at the bottom of his list and at the top - enlistment of the yeshiva students. He fooled his voters.
8. Vlad #7: Re Bennett
Robert Haymond ,   Tekoa, Israel   (02.10.13)
I think you haven't given the man and HaBayit HaYehudi a chance. The government hasn't even been formed yet. I think you'll Mr. Bennett and his (our) party a welcome addition to the Knesset once he is able to get his feet on the ground. When you attack, as you have done, without giving him a chance, one of the descriptions which might characterize you would be "scurrilous" or "malcontent". Try giving him a real opportunity to make an impression and a difference.
9. #5
max ,   Tel Aviv   (02.10.13)
#5 are you living on Mars or some other parallel universe? Israeli citizens, OK, but Israeli soil? Since when did Israel annex the West-Bank? As long as this does not happen, Jehuda and Shomron are not Israeli soil. Sorry to wake you up to reality.
10. so?
rm ,   Amsterdam NL   (02.10.13)
If you deliberately take a chance for financial reasons or ideological reasons to live in the territories, the way Israeli jews do i.e. as masters of the land who take land at will.....you can expect resistance! I know it's convenient to blame it all on terrorism but really this is about land and freedom
11. Judea/Samaria need to create own armed force.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.10.13)
Many of Israel's best soldiers call Judea and Samaria home. Judea and Samaria need to create their own armed force and deal mercilessly with "Palestinian" violence. No restraint whatsoever.
12. Occupying Colonists Out Of Palestine
World Citizen ,   the world   (02.10.13)
Palestinians will sue in ICC and we shall see if the rules of 4th Geneva Convention approves of this occupation.
13. If the IDF dont protect them, then they should be able to
Jrebecca ,   modiin   (02.10.13)
protect themselves. However, if someone from Karne Shomron were to shoot a stone thrower, the IDF would be quick to arrest him or her, and the world would be up in arms about the "aggressive settlers". This is the basic reason this protest was held.
14. "Ahh poor lambs" #1
Robert Haymond ,   Tekoa, Israel   (02.10.13)
This is the third response I've sent out to Ynet, the first two having been refused publication. These YNet tactics are a disgrace. I suppose it's too much to indicate that we who reside east of the Green Line protect you and all other citizens of our state. Second, we will not put up with threats and actual injury and/or death from a population (some) who are instigated against us, Finally, we are all Jews. Your derision of your brothers and sisters is unbecoming.
15. #6 Karen: Don't complain
Tom W ,   USA   (02.10.13)
You're very much sympathizing with the Islamist: you have a particularly soft spot for the Saudi Kingdom. So don't be worked up because of a few rock throwers, keep on promoting your peace ideas with them.
16. Simple solution: israelis honnor 1947 UN lines.
USA   (02.10.13)
17. Tom W. #15:
Robert Haymond ,   Tekoa, Israel   (02.10.13)
Ashley Palmer and his infant child were attacked by rock throwers in Shomrun while driving in his automobile. Both he and his child were killed (murdered) as a result. This occurred about one year ago. Did you suggest we be complacent and understanding out of your own ignorance or due to the fact that you think Jewish lives are cheap?
18. # 15 How dare you?
Keren IL-BR   (02.10.13)
I have the right to live in my land in peace... Even if I promote peace with the Palestiinians.
19. 4 - it is clear you not living here and have no idea what
Eitan ,   Rannana   (02.10.13)
you talking about. Settlers are armed and carry M16 and other automatic weapons with them at all times. Moreover they have been using them on Pals and even on the IDF. They are a tome bomb that is going to ignite sooner rather than later.
20. Settlers are armed
robert haymond ,   Tekoa, Israel   (02.10.13)
Eitan #19: The trouble is, you reside in Ranana and have never been east of the Green Line. Many people are armed. Other than the IDF soldiers, I have never seen anyone carrying an automatic rifle. But you bet, here reside the real warriors. The people here can defend themselves and you, as well.
21. Settlers ? You mean Residents.....
Avi W ,   Netanya, Israel   (02.10.13)
The Jewish residents of Judea & samaria have been very patient and under with the frustrations of their Arab neighbors unfulfilled expectations of promised statehood on land that doesn't & will never belong to them. If they cant learn to live in a civil manner with their neighbors, perhaps they should be re-united with their natural bretheran in their own Palestinian state of Jordan where they are the majority, so that there expectations can be fulfilled. Its quite understandable that they feel this way however violence is never the answer, it only begets more violence. The Jews do have a right to protect themselves and their families in their own land.
22. 6.
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.10.13)
solution for your problem, whilst you ''have the right to live in my land in peace'' stay home in K-S, wait for ''peace with the Palestinians'' quit moaning and get on with your life and I hope you you dont have to wait too long for your peace!!
