you are assuming that israel is a fascist state which incarcerates people for forgetting a file on a bus. your assumption is based on sheer ignorance. first, you need to understand that this man was arrested based on a warrant issued by a court; he was given lawyers, including a civil rights lawyer, to defend him; the justice ministry was informed of his case; his family was informed of his arrest; the australian embassy in tel aviv was informed of his arrest; the man himself was informed of the charges against him which he discussed with avigdor feldman, his civil rights lawyer; the man apparently rejected a plea offer. general ayalon, has just issued a statement that this man was kept under a pseudonym because he posed an existential threat to israel. this means that he had deep and intimate knowledge of facts that if revealed, could have caused deaths and loss of hugely important networks. by the way, israel does not need "friends" like you. give your money to the palestinians.
