1. Good. Nice to see Israel on the offensive, not waiting ...

2. What a bull!
Tom W ,   USA   (02.17.13)
Asking Ashton of EU or other professed antisemitic Western leaders to "protect" the Jews is utter nonsense. Any Jew who still sticks to those places where one is subject to visceral hatred and harassment is deserving the fate that may come at him. I left E. Europe with $30 as a tourist -(the officially permitted amount of that time.) - and never returned.
3. Speaking to deaf ears
Arnold ,   Canada   (02.17.13)
No matter how much or how often the Tunisian police / government will be asked to intervene it will not help. It does not help either when the "price taggers" in Israel go out and desecrate Muslim graveyards and gravestones.
4. # 2
Miriam ,   Miami, USA   (02.17.13)
You are assuming they can leave, not all Jews in Muslim or Arab country can leave.
5. #4. Miriam: Blue and Red passports
Tom W ,   USA   (02.17.13)
Blue colored passport was issued for travel to the West. Red was valid only for travel within the Communist block. With red passport I approached to West German borders and during a snow storm when the minefields were covered with thick snow, I crossed to the West. At the Czech-W. German border. I am not Czech, I traveled from other country with red passport because the "Black Forest" area topography appeared to be the safest for escaping. Talk about escaping with Cubans: they are worse off than Tunisians.
6. #4 actually, they can
Vlad   (02.17.13)
After the Tunisian Revolution, some 20 Jewish families made aliyah from Tunisia. The Jewish Agency has a whole complicated process to get emigrating Jews out of Tunisia and Iran. Most Arab countries look the other way, and if they don't, Israel could always evacuate them covertly.
7. Today Israel Fears for Tunisia's Jews...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.19.13)
... tomorrow Israel will fear Tunisia's Jews. That's how it works here.
8. Can they leave there?
If so, most of them probably won't come to Israel. They'll prefer the U.S., Canada, France, Australia .... anywhere but Israel.
9. Tunisian Jews
Riyadhbooz ,   Usa   (02.19.13)
The Jewish community in Tunisia are more save than in Netanyahu 's settlements , there are our brothers and sisters till the end of time ,Tunisia is Muslim moderate nation ,very welcoming to all ,peacefull and friendly and they approve that over and over especially in the case of Lybian refugees ,I suggest Israel cabinet stop embarrassing itself by pressing the Jews of magical Ireland to move out's only a couple of thousand !
10. If you're stupid enough to stick around...
Sean ,   Phoenix   (02.19.13)
...then you deserve your fate. It is ABSURD that Jews still try to make a life in Tunisia, Iran and Syria. Israel will gladly take you.
