It's not just the regime but the religion. Those that follow Islam are very insecure. If Allah were insulted by a teddy bear or a cartoon you would think he would do something about it. Evidently he can't so his followers have to do it for him. Usually people who follow other religions let their gods handle it or they have thicker skins and don't let it bother them. This gives Muslims an inferiority complex and makes them cranky. It almost makes one feel sorry for them.

Iran is broken. No oppressive regime like theirs survives indefinitely. They've persisted for decades now, but the tighter they make the noose around the people's necks, the sooner and more fierce the rebellion that will eventually result in the probably brutal change of that regime, though one can only wonder what will replace it. Will these folks again thrust themselves from the proverbial fry pan into the fire? Is Islam so ambiguous that it can simultaneously be both the "religion of peace", and the religion of oppression and ultimately of unspeakable brutality? Something is wrong with this picture.
5. Removal of Buddha ststues.
yoel ,   Israel   (02.17.13)
these are extreemist views, and not for normal thinkers. " Everybody likes to go their own way...to choose their own time...and manner of devotion" (Jane Austin)

I am confused. Are the Iranian Haredim?
7. Who spits on priests in Jerusalem? Clue, its not the Arabs.
miki ,   tampa   (02.17.13)
Where can you eat lunch on a Saturday visit in Jerusalem? Which side of the sidewalk does one walk on in certain neighborhoods? Which end of the bus should I sit? Who can and cannot pray at the Kotel? Not Teheran and not Saudi Arabia but "Jewish" Jerusalem.
8. Jews need to get out if Iran
k ,   US   (02.17.13)
It is only a matter of time that the Muslims will go after the Jews, I hope Jews in Iran understand this
9. Buddha now symbol of resistance in Iran
Deb ,   US   (02.17.13)
Black market sales will skyrocket.
10. Eagleprick, not you and your base bigotry again!
Persian CAT   (02.18.13)
You either have never met a Muslim, or have no clue about anything. But just to yak and spew your bigotry on every occasion. Many Muslims live, work and get along with peoples of other religions. These are the despicable acts of a fundamentalist and despotic regime who's afraid of its own shadow. That's all.
11. At #10 Thanks for proving his point!
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (02.18.13)
Your posts do sound bitter all the time.
12. BUDDHA BAN
Get Real ,   UK   (02.19.13)
Thought the reason for the ban was because they discovered Mossad spying equipment hidden inside the statues.
