This is an inspiring story, but please do not refer to the Border Guard as a "human shield". "The term "human shield" describes what cowardly terrorists do when they surround themselves with innocent civilians in order protect themselves. The Border Guard, on the other hand, bravely placed himself directly into harm's way in order to protect innocent civilians. There is a big difference.
