There are palestine solidarity nutters and islamic societies at all major UK universities, and they are very active in student politics, where their fervour and organisation gives them disproportionate influence. It is hardly surprising that this has come to a vote, but I would wait to reserve judgment on the university, where I attended grad school and was active in Jewish student life, until the results come in. Since when is the cell phone an israeli invention? Some components and development work were done in Israel, sure. By american companies. Outsourced to Israel for cost reasons, to perform the kind of work any fool could do. The same thing goes for computer components. Teva is not the worlds largest manufacutrer of patented meds, according to wikipedia they hold a patent on only two drugs, hardly impressive. They are the worlds largest generic drugs manufacturer though, which basically just means they are the worlds biggest copycat in their field. Hardly impressive.
