31. As a scientist...
Yossef   (02.24.13)
I publish scientific papers but I started boycotting british journals about 10 years ago. I publish only in American specialized journals. I suggest that every zionist scientist do the same, let's boycott the boycotters ;-)
32. Galloway's public life
Raphael ,   Netanya   (02.24.13)
How is it possible that such a labelled crook, who made millions at the starving iraki people's expense, taking huge bribes from "food against oil" program, is still allowed to parade on political or university stages?
33. The best answer
Jacques VITENBERG ,   France   (02.24.13)
...is hitiachavout!
34. One hears echos of Europe of the 1930s. Is this what the

35. #28 Britain has contributed far more than.....
Robert ,   Australia   (02.24.13)
....Israel to the benefit of the world. I'm surprised you didn't claim the internet an Israeli invention.
36. laughing fit
Marcel ,   San Jose, Costa Rica   (02.24.13)
How is it possible that they would even consider inviting this self-important scumbag to debate anything? I broke up laughing when I read about him saying: "I don't recognize Israel". Who does he think he is? A country? The man is a complete disgrace to humanity.
37. Bit hypocritical alright
Paul ,   Ireland   (02.24.13)
Where were the oxford student union during the British policy of forced famine at gunpoint of my country in the 1800s?. Ancient & Illustrious institute my backside. Definitely stinks of anti semitism.
38. To All Commentators
Harold ,   USA   (02.24.13)
Some woke-up to see what is happening to the Palestinians.
39. This reminds me of the Wannsee Conference
Beni B ,   Baltimore   (02.24.13)
Is this what Europe turned into?? -- We have to take note: Once the US Armed Forces left Europe in large numbers, madness has taken over. -- I used to live in Germany and I saw this happening slowly but surely.
40. Robert #35
Mickey ,   Sydney, Australia   (02.24.13)
Yes but Britain has been around for very much longer than Israel and has been a cruel colonizer for most of that time
41. Mickey #40
Efraim ,   Virginia   (02.24.13)
Israel is older than ALL of Europe you silly goat.
42. Go Ahead Useful idiots
BK ,   USA   (02.24.13)
Urge BDS of Israel and make it up by importing such specialties as nail bombs, sling-shots, and burkas (to cover all of those Euro-skanks).
43. #38 What...?
Alex   (02.24.13)
The billions in aid to the Pallys made them wake up? Or maybe the fact that despite all propaganda Palestinians on the West Bank has it better than people in many other Arab countries (yes I've seen it with my own eyes)? Or was it maybe the decades of terror against Israeli civilians that made them "wake up"? You're laughable.
44. #5
Matt ,   Ashdod   (02.24.13)
What do you mean by 'fire' Galloway? He is not employed by the university; he is a politician who was there as an outside speaker.
45. wait
Matt ,   Ashdod   (02.24.13)
There are palestine solidarity nutters and islamic societies at all major UK universities, and they are very active in student politics, where their fervour and organisation gives them disproportionate influence. It is hardly surprising that this has come to a vote, but I would wait to reserve judgment on the university, where I attended grad school and was active in Jewish student life, until the results come in. For example, look at how encouraging the results were from Magdalen.
46. 38. u don't give a crap about "Palestinians"
(02.24.13)
You just hate Jews ... Where's your comment on the 70,000 murdered in Syria? No, you just care about hurting Jews ...
47. #46
Harold ,   USA   (02.24.13)
We are talking about the Palestinians and Israel. The problems happened in the Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and other Arab world is created by some foreigners but they will find themselves in the middle of a huge problem when the problem is over. By the way I do not hate Jews because my life was saved by a Jewsih friend, Jacob, when I was drowning. I know Jews are non violent people but what we see now are 100 percent not Jews who wants to revenge and kill people who are not resposible for the holocaust.

(02.24.13)
65 years without peace between the occupiers and the Palestinians indeed is laughable. Saudi Arabian peace plane will stop all types of resistance against Israel. The Billions of dollars were received by Israel and not the Palestians. You better ask the US controlled Congress and they will provide you with the real answer. Wake-up and Wise-up.
49.  Oxford you say ??? ,...
split ,   US   (02.24.13)
Ouch that hurts ;) ,...
50. Stop getting your knickers in a twist
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (02.24.13)
It is the Student Union, not the University. They are both seperate entities, the student union provides places for students to eat, clubs, sporting facilities. Has absolutely nothing to do with the Acaedemic side
51. #25 'Sarah B'
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (02.24.13)
No you won't, as you know it is the gateway to your son's future, and you will know the Student Union is nothing to do with the Academic side of the University. Your son will boycott the student shop, the gym, and a couple of clubs, but he will go to Oxford University
52. It is almost impossible to find an honrable European...
Another Marco ,   Spain   (02.24.13)
Galloway, however is an exception to the rule...Galloway is the most decent contemporary European. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Mleeta, Lebanon, after the 2006 war, while we were both touring Hezbollah's resistance museum.
53. #28 I'll boycott the crap you are talking about
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (02.24.13)
if you boycott the jet engine, radar, submarines, periscopes, the rubber tyre, television, flat screens, led's, the computer, trains, Gecko tape, Harpic, Postage Stamp, Corkscrew, Holography, Jubilee clip, supersonic transport, low density polyethelene, fibreglass, flush toilet, Electric motor, Oil tanker, Tarmac, Refridgerater, Hovercraft, Hydrofoil, Carbonated water, Sewing Machine, Cat's Eyes, Slide Rule, Spinning Jenney, Steam Turbine, Stereoscope, Celluloid, Lawn Mower, lifeboat, Netownian Telescope, Faraday Cage, Flat glass, Vacuum cleaner, Washing Machine and of course the World Wide Web. Won't hold my breath
54. #53 We are not the ones who call to boycott the Brits
Yossef   (02.24.13)
you are the ones who call to boycott the Jews. Don't flip the roles...
55. Oxford anti-Israel vote
Frances Wessel ,   Nuremberg, Germany   (02.24.13)
I wonder if this could have anything to do with the fact that Oxford University is heavily funded by Arab oli money.
56. 28 ,...
split ,   US   (02.24.13)
Cell phone inventor - Martin Cooper, an American, son of Ukrainian immigrants and that's enough time for your crap. Dude, whomever messed up your 'attic' did better job that Herr G. could do or ever dream off. It looks like a dumpster with smelly trash - Keep talkin' and remember that no one can stop you of making an idiot of yourself. By the way your Teva is famous (and sued around the world) for a patent theft that allows them to skip the research/approval overhead and flood the market with their counterfeited junk at predatory price ,...
57. # 25
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (02.24.13)
Well, well then. She who never has a kind word to say about Britain or the British is sending her son to Oxford is she? That's because she realizes that it's the top of the academic scale presumably. Well, well. How hypocritical that is. I fell about laughing at the irony.
58. To: No. 56
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.24.13)
Martin Cooper, Jew, employed by Motorola and discoverer of cellular phone technology in conjunction with an Israeli ITcompany. That's enough time for your crap. Mind telling me who is suing Teva?
59. Sarah @ 50 - It is the Student Union, not the University.
split ,   US   (02.24.13)
They're the future leaders and rulers that can and will throw you under the bus when enough people get pissed off with your conduct ,...
60. #28
Intedi Nensak ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (02.24.13)
Since when is the cell phone an israeli invention? Some components and development work were done in Israel, sure. By american companies. Outsourced to Israel for cost reasons, to perform the kind of work any fool could do. The same thing goes for computer components. Teva is not the worlds largest manufacutrer of patented meds, according to wikipedia they hold a patent on only two drugs, hardly impressive. They are the worlds largest generic drugs manufacturer though, which basically just means they are the worlds biggest copycat in their field. Hardly impressive. If you're gonna brag, try at least to find something that actually is an israeli invention instead of simply making it up.
