Maybe the Iranian government would like to try to highlight the more positive aspects of their country. I'd be interested in know what exactly those are.

Arash. We were awarded our land (by right) by the UN. Force was because the neighboring arab countries objected to our presence and declared war. We advocated peace. (Keep in mind that Palestinian "zionism" didn't exist til 20 years later. All of the bombing and violence and killing children you mention is the work of palestinians (backed by Iran). We are a democrcy. we even treat arab criminals in our hospitals. In your country criminals and non criminals alike are simply murdered. The storming of a foreign embassy, against all international conventions and norm; the taking, holding and mistreatment, physical and psychological, of 52 hostages for 444 days is hardly flattering, but perhaps it is compared to currrent Iranian policy in dealing with dissenters. The storming of the embassy was indeed the action of a rogue state which the world has never forgotten. In fact Argo hardly touches upon the main story and real plight of the hostages.

As for Argo being seen as being political how could it not be whenever it came out bearing in mind 1) the actions of the Iranian regime since the storming and 2) the event itself. No doubt the eagerly awaited Iranian version will be political.

They can kidnap US people and that's okay, but expose the truth and these buggers are unhappy about the way they're portrayed?? I hope Israel sends this locale to the moon where they are of no use or can harm more people. Iran sux.
