Angela ,   WV, USA   (02.27.13)
Thank goodness common sense and intelligence still exists in the UK. I hope that some of you guys eventually become MPs and put your country back on track.

Avramele   (02.27.13)

A ,   Belgium   (02.27.13)
for showing that there is hope for reason and logic in the future, YOUR future, and that there is no place for trash like Mr. Galloway anywhere.
6. Thank you
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (02.28.13)
Thank you Oxford students for recognizing the complexity of the situation, being open to dialogue and against marginalization of a group.
7. Double tap!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.27.13)
MAJOR blow to the BDS movement! Thank you, Oxford Student Union. It is good to know that pro-ersatz "Palestinian" NGOs cannot buy the cooperation of the cream of the intellectual crop!
8. All that Arab money down the drain lol
Devorah   (02.27.13)
9. Nice to hear about some sanity in the UK, for a change
Rotem ,   Israel   (02.27.13)
10. Kudos to Oxford students
Israella   (02.27.13)
...and now to student unions at other UK universities - may common sense prevail and lead them also to reject anti-Israel motions.
11. Frankly: nothing to thank for just as we shouldn't be thank-
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.28.13)
ful for the "world" letting us breathe. It is shameful enough that such notion/vote had to be made at a place taking pride in developing intellectual faculties! The Islamic rot is slowly but surely taking hold in the fabric of Europe. Actually it needs very little watering to germinate in the rich, antisemitic soil of Europe, GB in particular. It is a small "victory" (for now).
12. Wow!
Benyamin ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (02.28.13)
So many people in UK and Western Europe speak out against things they could not understand. The media is consistently wrong and slanted, the teachings the same. And in the end we are the victims of misinformation. So glad that somebody finally saw a fact as a fact!
13. Oxford proves that it is not Berkeley.
yossi ,   tel aviv   (02.28.13)
Kudos and to many more.
14. voting with your head, not with your hate.
(02.28.13)
good for the wonderful oxford bunch in stating that the bds is an antisemitic organization. good for these level headed students who realize that shunning israeli academic institutions will be not only a major disaster since lots of innovations come out of the jewish state, but will impede their own british researchers who benefit from israeli discoveries and knowhow. good for you, same brits. what a refreshing level headed and proud vote. as to the bds, it is not only antisemitic in nature, but it doesn;t recognize a two state solution at all. it doesn't recognize israel's right to exist at all as a national home of the jewish nation and people. for that it is antisemitic to the core and for that, most level headed students realize that in this day and age, free thinking people will never associate themselves with antisemites and haters be they the left, muslims or arabs. deep down i am convinced that most that voted no to this nefarious motion didn't have to think much of it. they realized right away how their complicity in this abomination will reflect on them as fair minded and intellectual people and they knew right away that the bds is such bs and only bs. the bds so far has been a miserable failure. miserable. even professor chomsky (no israel lover) and others have said that the bds movement is a sham, an antisemitic organization and completely marginal and a failure.
15. Maybe Oxford Students Should Teach their Professors
Dina ,   USA   (02.28.13)
How to think correctly
16. Haaretz lowers flags to half staff...
Miron ,   USA   (02.28.13)
Had the vote being held in Haaretz editorial room, Israel would be over in the next 15 minutes.
17. And now, on the heels of this 69 - 10 vote
Miron ,   USA   (02.28.13)
I'd like to revisit recent Haaretz article, placating Anti - Israel Jewish group in Britain. I was ashamed to read this scum. These people are usurping public forums, stealing our voice instead of serving public, feeding poisonous lies of the vilest kind and selling it for the price of honest reporting. This zondercommand destroying Israel from within must be put down. Their impact on the morale of our nation is beyond of what healthy society can afford. Haaretz must be closed.
18. Finally some restored hope in the UK
David ,   Israel   (02.28.13)
Good to see that the well educated oxford students aren't so naive as the rest of the world's universities students
19. I now have some respect for Britain
Laila ,   Montreal, Canada   (02.28.13)
I now have some respect for Britain.
20. Turning the corner..........
NS ,   Long Island, NY, USA   (02.28.13)
I believe that this vote represents the turning of the tide against the movement to delegitimize the State of Israel and the Jewish People. Kudos to the students of Oxford for a wise decision.
21. Oxford 'student vote...a bit overblown!
tiki ,   belgium   (02.28.13)
With all due respect, but these are just 'students who haven't proved or contributed anything to the world yet. I don't think that Israel as a country is very much 'intimidated by what a few students in far away Oxford say. But, it's good to see that those youngsters have a hobby beside (or instead) their study.
22. Ban Products from Hamas supporting Nations
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (02.28.13)
This would be the appropriate boycott.
23. Talmud
M A SHERVANI ,   DELHI , INDIA   (02.28.13)
This voting shows that only 10 students have read " TALMUD " , HAD REST (69) READ " TALMUD "THEY WOULD HAVE VOTED FOR BAN .
24. George Galloway, vile and dangerous
Steve   (02.28.13)
I trust the appropriate security entities are monitoring the subversive actions of Mr. Galloway. He is already on the radar in Canada and several other nations for terrorist affiliations and would appear to be more militant and less stable as he continues to obsess over the presence of Jews in the M.E.
25. # 23 Stupid.....
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (02.28.13)
Your pathetic words only prove why India worships cows.... Your "holiness'? LOL Watch that cow pie, sacred but smelly.
26. Nice see a bit of sanity among ...
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (02.28.13)
...Oxford students. ...and Bomshanka Shervani @#23, I suggest you go back to your chillum... you've ceased to see rationally
27. Don't scimp on boycott
Arnie ,   NY USA   (02.28.13)
If you boycott Israeli products you must not use any medicines developed in Israel. So be prepared to die.
28. More on boycott scimping.
Arnie ,   NY USA   (02.28.13)
You can't use the internet. Most of it was invented in Israel.
29. When these students are older and wiser...
Robert ,   Australia   (03.01.13)
....they could well change their tune. After all, they know very little of the world at their raw stage in life.
30. To: No. 29
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.01.13)
I guess the same could be said for the British students that interrupted a speech by an Israeli. They know very little of the world at their raw stage in life. Of course, they were not smart enough to get into Oxford, so while they may grow older it's a fair bet that they won't grow any smarter. Just pubs and beer for that lot -- one wonders how they ever managed to get themselves accepted to college to begin with. They're pure vocational training material. Nothing more. But considerably less. \
