In the Arab world? Because it worked oh-so-well in Lebanon. Tunisia. Libya. Egypt. Yemen. Algeria. Syria will suffer a similar fate. Obama, Kerry and Hagel. Moe, Larry and Curley.

Has the US identified the next moderate Syrian regime from amongst the rebels? Is this what the Iranians mean by foreign intervention in Syria? And if the extremist Islamic elements attain power in Syria? As praiseworthy as humanatarian aid is don't expect much in the way of 'thank yous' after the dust has settled.

If they want medical supplies let it be funnelled through the UN. The FSA is made up of a whole range of groups including Al Quaida and there is no way to guarantee that this will go to the right hands. Most likely a load of it will be sold on the black market. The UN know how to do these sort of things better than any FSA leaders. As for John Kerry, for years he has been convinced that Assad was the peacemaker, he didn't want war with anybody just the Golan and he was pushing for Israel to give it up. Now Kerry is seeing that an Assad is an Assad, brutal and will do anything to hold onto power. Hafez Assad killed about 10,000 Syrians now the man Kerry was convinced was the peacemaker of the Middle East has killed about 60,000 and is showing no sign of stopping.
