Zuri ,   Glasgow, Scotland   (03.06.13)
it doesn't matter how advance we are, or varies Christians and other religion attitude to gay relationship. It is ok they are free to live they life as they wish. however, as long as gay marriage is an utter No, that's fine with me!!
3. Vote re gay marriage
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (03.06.13)
Instead of dancing around the issue, why not have a vote on whether or not the Ten Commandments should be obeyed.
4. Bible

5. Jewish values versus liberal values
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (03.07.13)
Everyone has the right to their own views, but please don't hide behind Judaism to justify that which transgresses a basic Biblical prohibition. We support civil union or civil partnership to make sure same-sex couples have the same legal rights as married couples, but please don't change the Torah definition of marriage as somethng that takes place between a man and a woman, not between two men or two women. Notwithstanding the Episcopal bishop's support, the Church of England, also called the Anglican or the Episcopalian communion, is absolutely opposed to consecrating same sex marriages.
6. religious people think they own the word marriage ....
naftules ,   jerusalem   (03.07.13)
No one is asking rabbi's or priest or pastors to marry gay people via their religions. They are asking the state (NOT the RELIGIONS) to redefine their laws on marriage. As soon as the State decides to use the word marriage for any state benefits , it clearly becomes a word that is not just connected to religion, it is now connected to the State as a non-religious term. Last I checked USA seperates church and state. So the states use of the word marriage either has to be dropped completely or accepted as a non-religous word that is used to enable certain rights to joined couples!! And I pray and hope to see a day where State sponsored descrimination is stopped!!!
7. Hey Sherlock
Dr Watson ,   Baltimore, USA   (03.07.13)
You mean the Torah definition of marriage as between one man and as many women as he can support right? It's at least two plus two concubines per Jacob.
8. naftules. it's pashut, or peshita
Baruch ,   Boston, USA   (03.07.13)
If we have to debate the correctness of a relationship of a man and a woman versus those of any mixture of men and women, then we have reached a sad state in the regression (not progression, like "progressives" maintain) of society. It's not just about "marriage", It's really one of those axioms which is not religious and really is ridiculous to debate. A man performing a sex act on a man is really not natural. It's a sign of an emotional problem, like any other emotional problem.
