SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   HOORN NH, HOLLAND   (03.02.13)
THE US AND RUSSIA HAVE NO OR ONLY LIMITED INFLUENCE/ POWER TO ACT IN SYRIA, IRAN, OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY, AT THE PRESENT TIME, BECAUSE EVERY COUNTRY, WITH A PEOPLE IS AN INDEPENDANT, SOVEREIGN NATION-STATE, WITH SELF-DETERMINATION, FOR EXCAMPLE PROVEN BY THE UN-PEAMBULE AND CHARTER SINCE 1945. (UNLESS SOMETHING EXCEPTIONAL HAPPENS). IT DOES NOT MATTER IF A COUNTRY HAS A CRIMINAL, DICTATORIAL REGIME OR A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PARLIAMENT AND GOVERNMENT. THE UN STILL DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTH OF THEM, ACCORDING TO GET AND TO HAVE A UN-MEMBERSHIP.
3. Bilateral Hegemony

Russia with its huge land mass rich in minerals and agriculture and the USA the military Technological Superpoewr need maintain their lead .Sooner or Later Barbarism may return and the USA and Russia cannot afford Disunity on a General level .They need maintain Supremacy together and Sanity internally.
4. Obama discussions with Putin

Presumably, Obama demonstrated the greater flexibility that he told Medvenev that he would have after the election. He has already declared his intent to reduce the US number of nuclear warheads, even while Putin has declared his intent to increase the Russian arsenal. That's real flexibility.
