For leaders to be leaders they have to have great visions. Had both Rabin and King Hussein still been alive there was the possibility that they between them could have forged something special, they had respect and trust between them and if Bibi and Abdullah could also achieve something although i do not think there is the chemistry that Hussein and Rabin had but who knows. A big idea that encompasses the two countries and three peoples all working for a better life for themselves could be the light unto the nations that we all aspire to be.
2. Is "good faith" or "no preconditions" a precondition?
On the Balcony ,   NY, Kyiv, Akko   (03.03.13)
It is tiring to keep haring that the Palestinians are the ones preventing peace talks when it is evident that the opposite is true. The entire world and many Israelies know that the settlements are illegal under international law. Rquirinng someone to stop an illegal activity cannot be accurately decribed as a precondition but as a requisite act of good faith. The good faith of the parties is essential to the negotiation of any meaningful agreement. The status of borders and the settlements are major negotiation issues. Is it possible for Israel to negotiate in good faith at the same time as it continues to build? No. Ask any six year you: You cannot negotiate whose cake it is if and while the other side insists on licking the frosting.
3. Wrong Move

He has not even formed his government and he is desperate in meeting Abdullah. What is motivating him to be meeting Abdullah? Abdullah may well end up like all the tyrants in the region. Meeting Abdullah is unnecessary. He is not god or king of Israel.
